At this point, in theory we could be starting MHJ, Frank Gore Jr Branden Rice, Trotter, Mims... It's interesting.

So with the team needing a WR now and there are no #1 WRs available via FA. What are the thoughts of signing Donovan Peoples Jones and trading back quite a bit and taking AD Mitchell? AD has got great speed, hands and route running looks good. Take another late round WR like Taj Washington. Go into the season with?
AD
Palmer
QJ
DPJ
Davis
Washington

I think the days of the Chargers slinging the ball over the place are over. We are going to see a running game mixed with high percentage short to medium passes, IMHO.1- #11 Bowers TE 7a- #225 Boyd DT
2a- #35 Cooper LB 7b- #253 Vidal RB
2b- #37 Jenkins DT
3a- #66 Puni OT
3b- #69 Sainristill CB
4a- #105 Rice WR
4b- #110 Lloyd RB
5- #140 Green CB
6- #181 Nourzad C/OG

The guy isn't 23 anymore as he is now in his athletic prime. Outside of Tom Brady, a large number of drafted franchise QB's usually win the Super Bowl while they're 26-30 years old. That's the best window. This season is pretty much how old Josh Allen was when he lost to the Bengals last year, but at least Josh had WR 1's and 2's he was familiar with. Justin got nobody right now.
Then there's the realistic risk that whoever they draft doesn't pan out.
We're essentially asking a rookie or pair of rookies to replace Keenan and Mike Williams's production/chemistry with Herbert at his peak and ready to win now. That's going to be tough.Last edited by MusicMakerInMe; 03-15-2024, 01:08 AM.
