    maybe I saw things you don't see or you don't agree with. I saw Spiller ran slower and less decisive in his runs, and produced less than other Charger backs - even with your well-noted system-wide "hole problem". Maybe he is not that bad, maybe he is. I don't bet a team's success on him

    2023:
    Kelley: 3.8 ypc
    Ekeler: 3.5 ypc
    Spiller: 2.6 ypc

    2022
    Spiller = 2.3 ypc
    Ekeler = 4.5
    Kelley = 4.2

    one of these guys is not like the others, and not in a good way.

          If that's the way you want to look at it

          Our last 5 games we were playing a 2nd and 3rd string OC....the OL was awful. Didn't have even one 10+ run during that time except from Stick.

          NONE of our RBs averaged even 3 YPC over those 5 games. Ekeler was the best at 2.6. Both Kelly and Spiller under 2 YPC.

          Spiller got 25 of his 37 carries if the year during those 5 games. 16 of them against the Raiders in that 63-21 showing and he averaged 3.1 YPC. Ekeler 1.8 and signaling first downs while getting blown out lol.

          I'm not betting anything on Spiller but he is under contract still. He won't start at all but he will be here and likely show better with a better OL.

                I think the Chargers have to draft either Bowers or Nabers. I mentioned them drafting Dallas Turner. But I think 5 is too high. Is he as good as Will Anderson. I don’t think so.

                Arizona drafting JJ Mcarthy is rich even for them. I don’t think so. Marvin Harrison Jr. is too good a prospect to take. I have him ranked at 2 to get him at 4 with a Quarterback already there is too much. plus Kyler’s not that much smaller then Caleb.

                If Marvin Harrison Jr. gets to us at 5 I’ll walk from L.A. to San Diego.

                  When Anderson left for the NFL draft in January, he pulled Turner aside and told him pointedly, "Bro, it's your defense."

                  Anderson, drafted No. 3 overall, said he told Saban the same thing, stressing that the outside linebackers set the tone.

                  "[Turner] can be one of the best to come through Alabama," Anderson told ESPN. "He would always say, 'Bro, I wanna do what you do.' And I always told him, 'Do better than what I did.' And I honestly believe he can do that, 100 percent."

                  That includes surpassing Anderson's 17.5 sacks and 34 tackles for loss as a sophomore, he said.

                  "I truly believe that," Anderson said. "I know the type of hard work he puts in. I know his mentality. I know the grit and the love that he has for the game, that he can go out there and do all those things."

                    Last year, when prepping for the NFL Draft, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer had multiple NFL minds suggest Turner was a better prospect than Anderson. All Turner has done since is rack up nine sacks and be named as a first-team All-American.

                    Yet, better than Anderson? That may still seem like a bit of a stretch.

                    Still, as Breer noted, one NFC executive stated just this week that “Dallas is a better athlete than Will.” Yet, that same exec also said Anderson “played harder,” so it’s not like Turner has all the advantages over his former teammate in the minds of some.

                      Turner is not a finished product. But he is on the “all-upside” team. And that’s what you’re looking for in a prospect.

                      30 years ago I hated drafting Nebraska players. Nebraska’s training was so good they were finished products coming out of college. They never seemed to get better as pros. So I always look for upside when drafting. Especially guys who just need more time to develop strength or technique.

                      Dallas just turned 21. Give him some more time.

                          They could sign him for the league minimum since Denver is paying the rest.
