gotta remember that these GMs want to keep their jobs, and while trading the farm for your fifth overall might suit us, it doesn't bode well for their job security, and....

on the other hand/alternatively it doesn't serve Hortiz well to rape 'n pillage other GMs, coz it won't be before long that other teams/GMs are hesitant/unwilling to trade w/him.

I think it might be a good idea to see what teams have given to move up to move up to get a QB or even a WR. When teams fall in love with "their guy" they will give up a lot. There is also this thing called a bidding war which is what I think we will see at #5.

and trading to Chicago is better for me, in that I would get in front of NY to better ensure my chances @Fuaga....

Much rather trade with Atlanta. For starters Chicago doesn't have a 2nd and we need starters. A third this year is nice
a 2nd is better. Next year is a very different animal for us as the cap situation opens up.

Brock Bowers is elite. He will be elite at his posiition. When Travis Kelce retires he will be the best tight end in football. He’s the next one. He’s a hall of famer. He’s a gold jacket. All pro. He’s not OJ Howard. He’s better than Dalton Kincaid.

You want elite at position.

Malike Nabers and Romeo Oudunzie will be elite at thier posistions. They will be the new WRs Oudunzie did all his drills and crushed them. No corner can stay with Nabers. This is the draft where you’ll have an AJ Green and a Julio Jones in it.

and we haven’t even mentioned Marvin Harrison Jr. so when talking about elite and the pick of 5 that’s blue chippers and you have blue chippers in this draft.

I know we have needs but one of these players can make our team perennial contenders.

I’m over the MH2 hype! Is he going to be good? Yes! Mark my words, Rome Odunze will be the best all around WR that comes out of this draft and without the drama I have feeling will come with MH2.

If MH2 is sitting there at 5 because of a trade up, I’m hoping they trade back to somebody else that wants him.

I'd put him in my Top-15.

With the teams 1-14, you have to think that JJ McCarthy has risen enough to be a strong consideration. So, that's 4 QB's.

4 QB's: Williams, Maye, Daniels, McCarthy
4 OT's: Alt, Fashanu, Fuaga, Mims
2 DE's: Turner, Latu
2 CB's: Arnold, Quinyan
3 WR's: MH2, Nabers, Odunze
1 TE: Bowers

I'm glad to bring him to camp, but I'm not expecting anything from him based on the cumulative sum of all of the carries I have seen him take since he was drafted.

This is kinda my thing... All these amazing skill position players that are going to "likely" have amazing careers and we want an OT which will play RT with the #5 pick??? That's some AJ level incompetence...

Not sure why everyone is getting wrapped up in the QBs as possible reasons to trade up. There are 3 very good WRs that I'm sure some teams would love to trade up and get. In any other year these 3 would be the 1 WR taken. Teams have given up a ransom to move up to take a WR. I still believe there will be a lot of competition for that #5 spot.
