That is not a stupid arguement, I confess...but dont forget Joe Hortiz and his philosophy...that will carry weight too.

In the end, we are just having fun with these debates...Im very openminded, and frankly both clueless, and curious as to what they actually do. Ill still argue for my favorite players, but cant really be disappointed this year...afterall, we already landed my #1 priority offseason acquisition, FA and draft combined...that would be Harbaugh himself!

2-Pierce way want to would up but how many times has TT moved up that much in the past? It would cost a lot and Raiders also have a lot of holes.
3- Everyone would love one of these top 3 QB's but not all of them can get them. Top 3 teams really need a QB so it would have to be a ransom haul to move down from a real team need with 3 real good prospects. Right now, I can't see it.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear Pierce banging the table loudly for a QB, TT maybe balking a bit, (or maybe TT goes along with it from the get go):...look:

Except that Harbaugh already had a bunch of studs on the O line, didn't have to draft more. It won't be a surprise if we take
an OT with our 1st pick. Actually very difficult to say since we need starters in a bunch.

Like most people are saying IF MHJ is on the board @5 that's the Chargers pick and he replaces MW day one as our starting WR!

I'm pretty sure MHJ has the Chargers as his #1 team!

No, we dont. I like Sweat, he would be a good run stuffer but there are other DTs i like as well or better. beach just finds big fattys and latches on them and wants them every year. Its just his thing. Doesnt make it wrong, but we dont need those types to make it work.

Koby Turner is the Rams NT and was a rookie 6th rounder last year and had 8 or 9 sacks at 288 lbs. Think he was tied with or had 1 more than Donald.

Dont know how the Rams keep finding these gems but they do. Id be happy if we draft Jenkins and Fiske.

If they draft an RT, it should be a trade down from #5.

That might happen even if we don't draft a RT. May depend on how far back we trade and what we get in return.
Lots of possibilities still on the table including staying put.

Rumor is Pierce wants Daniels. He recruited him while he was Arizona before he transferred to LSU. Take it for whatever it is worth.

I still have high hopes for Dot...hey, maybe Harbo and Roman coach Dot up into a serviceable #3 RB in the rotation...
I was going to have you baking fresh cookies and laying out slippers too but I didn't want to sound ridiculous.

Otherwise you arent addressing a need, which you need to do when you have a lot of them.

Bottom line...maybe OT isnt their choice either...until I see what they do with player retention, cuts, adds...hard to say what they do....but why blow a 5 on a guy who will be splitting snaps with 3 other players?
its a negative cap hit to cut Q, lesser cap hit to trade him. he won't be cut

You don't trade back or up just to trade. Don't put yourself into a hole and stay there. You have to be flexible, especially if you have a certain target in mind. IF your target can be acquired at #8 just as easily at # 5, and your team has a lot of holes, then you trade down. AND still get your guy.
Chargers help to their guns on the ELI and Rivers trade down and were able to get their guy and picks.
Has nothing to be without me being a GM but thank you. I’m pretty good at what I do. I don’t always trade back and don’t like always doing it. If I’m a team if I have a guy I like I get him. I can get those other guys in the draft. Yeah trade back if you’re the bills and let the Chiefs draft Patrick Mahomes.
