Around want range do you guys see Frank Gore JR going? Would he be available near our pick at the top of the 4th round?

On receivers...A Mitchell dropped ONE pass in over 80 catchable balls...4.34 speed...decent size...

Some wiseass claims he catches with his body, so I put on the tape...baloney...plenty of snatches and snags on the run. Saw it on Qs tape...not with this kid....1.8% drop rate...Odunze and Nabors about 4.8%...MHjr? 6.9%...

If they trade back AD Mitchell would be my target. He’s got good size and great speed. Good hands and rout running ability. AD and QJ on the out side with JP lining up all over would be a good WR core to start.

Bring in Parris Campbell and then you have 3 guys with great speed.

Observing the developments, it sure does seem like a deal with MN could be brewing:

- Despite the need for a starter, it’s odd that the Bolts have not signed a single CB yet. And there isn’t much left among the FA ranks.
- Unless they get lucky, it doesn’t appear like there’s many Day 1 starting CBs past the 1st round of the draft. The problem is that none are rated high enough to be taken at #5.
- MN is clearly preparing for a jump up to get their QB. With private workouts scheduled, interest in JJ McCarthy seems genuine.
- Albert Breer reported yesterday that the top 3 teams weren’t currently willing to move off of their spots. Could be a smokescreen, but it’s certainly no secret that all three teams desperately need QBs. And all three are well positioned to nab one.
- With both Hollywood Brown & Rondale Moore moving on, AZ has just Michael Wilson at WR. They need a WR1 even worse than the Bolts. Pairing Murray with either MHJ or Nabers seems like a no brainer. They already have a ton of picks.

Yes, but he can be had anywhere from 6th to UDFA

Been beating my head against the wall, trying to figure how we get 11 and 23. The Vikes want a top 4 QB...they cant commit resources to move to 5, only to watch the Giants leapfrog with AZ 11th hour...even if they called AZ already, and got assurances that they are staying put, they cant trust that...the Giants could swoop in and blow AZ away, and AZ could still get a damn good receiver at 6...

But I think I figured out a scenario that works for everybody...except, of course, New York...

Vikes want #4.
AZ wants MHjr, so they gotta stay top5.
Chargers want 11 and 23.

So...3 way trade. Vikes get 4. AZ gets 5 and a future Vikes pick...2025 3, or 2026 2nd and 3rd...Chargers get 11 and 23.

Maybe there are some other details...late round picks, swaps...who knows? But in this scenario, everyone gets what they want...Vikes get a QB, Chargers get another first round pick, and AZ still gets their guy, plus a little future draft capitol. Win-Win-Win...

I think a deal is all but finalized...Vikes wouldnt have made their moves to date without assurances...they were told a price, and they gathered the swag in response to that price...only question now is what the deal actually is...and whether we are involved.

That trade wont happen till draft day as the draft is in progress so the Giants wont have a chance to leapfrog them. Im sure it will be set up ahead of time and if AZ doesnt want to budge, the Vikes and Giants will know by calling them. And if AZ does want to trade down, then im sure those 2 first round picks will be why. Giants are kind of fucked.

3 way could happen i suppose but we better get more than just 11 & 23. Not settling for just that.

A little deja vu 20 years later with the Giants and a QB trade during the draft with the Chargers first pick.

Yeah he led all defensive tackles in the vertical (33.5″), broad jump (9’9), and 40-yard dash (4.78 seconds). Dude is an manimal.

Man if the Chargers could some how pull 3 2nd rnd picks out of their ass and come away with a combo of Green CB, DT Jenkins/Fiske, Colson/Cooper I would be happier than a pig in shit. Go o-line, WR, RB, and OT (not in particular order) the rest of the way. Of course that is if we take Bowers in the 1st..

His only knock is his 31" arms but id really like him or Jenkins round 2...not sure Fiske makes it to top of 3rd but some will make a big deal of his short arms. Hoping we can get an extra 2nd rounder.

I have been lazy doing true evaluations...I figured we stick at 5, we might take one of the big 3...but otherwise, it wasnt a glaring need...

Then we traded Slayer...

So I started watching, started reading, looking up stats, drop rates, testing...

Now, some of those WRs in last years class may ultimately have better careers, than some of these top guys in 2024...you never can tell how their paths will wind, how good their teams or QBs will be, how they handle being a pro, how much they evolve their game...but from a PROSPECT standpoint, when considering size, speed, athleticism, versatility, hands, production, route running, seperation...Ive got FIVE guys who are better PROSPECTS than anyone in last years class...thats nuts.

McConkey, Worthy, and Legitte would likely have been pushing the guys at the top of last years class, as they look now, with Njigba being the only guy in that class, IMO, that belongs in the conversation with the top 5 in THIS years class. Again...nuts.

Not advocating an early WR pick...just sharing observations. For all I know, WR is down Jim and Joes list, and a vet, plus a day 3 rookie are all we need to add, and they think Q and Josh are good enough...who knows?

I doubt the Vikes show their hand to the Giants, unless they got a deal in place...unless they feel having 11 and 23 is an acceptable contigency if they miss on a top 4 QB...but I doubt it.
