Guys getting slept on, or outright forgotten...

Audric Estime- Bad 40 time at combine...but at 222#, jumped very well, vertical and broad, showing explosive power...then rebounds at his proday with a more respectable 4.58...even if he gets a few tenths for "proday advantage", I saw the run...he was moving much better...and built like a brick shithouse...

But for me, its always been the tape. He moves great for such a big man...good contact balance, forces missed tackles/breaks tackles...and can accelerate into chunk gains. He doesnt have the wiggle or jump cuts of a Bijan Robinson...or the homerun threat speed of Jamyr Gibbs...but he is damn good as a powerback, and looks super durable.

Zak Zinter- Easily the most likely MI player we draft. Huge guard, perfectly suited for powergap scheme, 2023 unanimous All american, 2 year all big ten first team, 1 yr second team...freakish lower leg fracture...which is nothing...its not like a ruptured achilles, or torn ligaments, muscle, or meniscus cartilege...or even foot bones...best kinda scratch and dent special you can ask for.

Ricky Pearsall- Not only does he land in one of the best WR classes I have ever seen, but his QB didnt do him any favors, either. Tested great, good size, great hands with <3.0% drop rate, shifty yac ability, return chops...but again...its the tape that does it for me...and makes his low drop rate all the more impressive. As much as any receiver in this draft, this guy successfully adjusts to poorly thrown balls, and makes the catch...its eye popping.

Absolutely! The draft is a crap shoot... and the pundits get creative with their mocks near the end... to make it even cloudier!
Don't get me wrong, Paul is probably indeed a 3rd round prospect. I've only watched highlights on him. I would feel more comfortable watching full games against quality opponents.

My draft crush is the 3rd round... I believe there will be many quality players there.
My other draft crush are many of the defensive players. Not a whole lot of them in the 1st round (until later)... but many good defensive players in the 2nd and 3rd round, though.

On defense a 4th or 5th rnd guy could be Kristian Boyd DT, Northen Iowa. I really like this guy. I posted highlights of him somewhere on here.

You only need the #23 pick to fit nicely... and it does.
Then you have Colson @#37. After that... you begin fitting round pegs into square holes.

I know the odds are low, but with some other prospects moving up boards quickly, there is actually a chance that Edgerrin Cooper is there at pick 37.

There could be a run on WR, CB, OT and Edge at bottom of round 1 that leaves him dropping.

You could be right. Big fan of Cooper here, so I hope so. BTW, pretty sure it's 'DeJean'.

Height: 6-1. Weight: 209.
Projected 40 Time: 4.44.
Projected Round (2024): 1-2.

3/9/24: DeJean recorded 41 tackles, two interceptions and five passes broken up in 2023 before a season-ending lower leg injury. Multiple NFL team sources said they think DeJean’s best role in the pros would come as a safety and slot corner, although they do feel he could be a starting outside corner. However, a lack of juice could make him a better fit as a slot/safety hybrid. DeJean did not work at the combine, but he is aiming to work out for teams before the 2024 NFL Draft.

9/2/23: DeJean was all over the field for Iowa in 2022, making big plays on his way to totaling 75 tackles, five interceptions and eight passes defended. It was a breakout season for hum. DeJean is a gritty and instinctive defender. It will be interesting to see if DeJean is as large as his listed numbers and how well he is put together physically for the NFL. While he has played cornerback for Iowa, some team sources who have already done tape study on DeJean say they believe he would be a better fit at safety in the NFL.

I can honestly say I have absolutely no idea what they are going to do in the 1st round. The rest of the draft seems a little easier to guess what they are going to do to fill out the roster.

Harbaugh and Hortiz taking a WR at 5 does not seem like a move either of them would do.

There will be some very hungry teams to jump up to 5 for MHJ if he’s there. So my best guess is that they are going to trade back. From there, I still am not too sure who they will take. Maybe a CB or OL and I'm still not confident in those guesses.

Did anyone see that one handed stab Pearsall made in a game, and then got blasted by the db? 2nd greatest catch I have ever seen, just behind the OBJ catch.
Moves like he's 5'10" out there, but he's actually 6'1".

He is a good player, but I think if we go corner in Round 1 or at #37, it would be a corner that can play outside, especially in press. We need corners that can get to the outside of the WR and push them back to the inside cover zones.

This is lacking in our current CB room.

Besides, in the third round, I can find WR's, CB's, IDL's, and LB's all much better than Patrick Paul.
We are a BPA organization now. Reaching for 5th round OT's (Pipkins, not Paul) is no longer allowed.
If you want a Joe Hortiz 3rd round comp @RT... think Orlando Brown Jr.

Surprised the hell out of me when I found out the guy was 6'7", 331 pounds.
No one moves him back into the QB from what I've seen.

What type of run blocker he is, I have no idea .... but he has some potential as a LT sponge.

I have no idea, but if it’s past 10, you start asking for a 1st rounder next year plus a 2nd or a 3rd this year.

Jacksonville is a team I can see wanting to make a jump to grab MHJ. That’s all the way to 17. So a starting point for me would be, pick 5 for 17, 48,114 and next years 1st.

Now the question is who would they take at 17, or do you go back a few more spots to grab another top 100 pick?
