You can play Dewan and Derwin James together.

Patrick Paul, T, Houston (6-7 ½, 331): Made 44 starts at left tackle during a five-year collegiate career. “He looks good,” said one scout. “He looks like an NBA basketball player. He’s an easy mover for such a big guy. You’re going to get pissed about his lack of discipline and technique. You’re going to get pissed because he’s not powerful. Then you have to keep reminding yourself, ‘OK, he’s 6-7, 330, 36 3/8 and he’s gonna play.’ I don’t know how you can pass a guy like this up.” Arms were 36 ¼, hands were 9 3/8. “Love the long arms but a knock-kneed guy,” a second scout said. “Just a limited athlete. Poor technique, hands are wide every snap. Wide, wide. Put your hands inside. Plays top-heavy. Not really a nimble athlete. Just a project because he’s so tall and long. Third or fourth round.” Clocked 5.14.
I posted his combine highlights a few posts back, I'll post it here again if you want to see how he looks running the drills.

I was suggesting that Plumkins was the 5th-round grade (who got over-drafted in the 3rd-round).

I haven't watched any full-game tapes on Paul (got any for me?)... I've only watched a highlight reel on him.

Picking the wrong QB1 sets a team back 3-6 years and nobody knows for sure if the next “it” guy will really have the NFL it. When you do get your true QB1, you don’t let go.

I like him as well but don't know if he would play S or CB in Minter's D. I do know that the Chargers need CB's badly out of this draft, preferably 2. Green is my favorite CB in this draft and hope the Chargers could land him plus another one whether that other comes from the 1st rnd or later don't care.

BPA all day. You are never one player away.

Even after trade down. BPA... as players come off board, you should have a clear idea of the handful of player you want to draft at that spot and who you want of your BPA group. This is where Trader Joe can decide this team wants to jump up a few, so we are guaranteed to get one of our BPAs after trade down. I don't think he has a single BPA, I think it's more likely ranked clusters. These are our top 7 non QB players and we feel all are worthy of pick 5. So we can trade down to 11 and still get a BPA. At every spot he can decide same thing. And since he already added extra picks. And the way he talks about picks. I think he is likely to move back somewhere in the draft and get picks. I also think he would just sit and strike if he saw BPA falling to him. However it goes. Im so.much more comfortable with Hortiz leading the draft than Telesco.

Thanks for the link. What are your thoughts on him...?
Looks like a 3rd rounder to me. Not very physical in the run game. Can get to the 2nd level (although not asked to do that very often)
Missed on a couple of moving targets at the 2nd level when he got there. His hands are out wide in pass protection... apt to hold.
I would like to see him vs. real NFL talent. Doesn't seem like like a Harbaugh/Hortiz/Roman kind of tackle... especially in the run game.

I doubt if this guy is BPA @#69. So many good players there (DT's, WR's, RB's, and CB's)... maybe even TE and LB.

What do others think of Keon Coleman? He ran a "slow" 40 time of 4.61, but I think his speed on the field is more than fine. I'm wondering if he falls to the third round. If so, I would seriously consider him there if we don't go wide receiver in the first two rounds.

I was just watchin a YouTube video talkin about how under rated Coleman is this draft.I would scoop em up in the 3rd for sure.

I stopped at the 8:00 mark.

                      Tired of watching him not use those long arms to his advantage;
tired of every Tom, Dick and Harry sticking their hands into his chest first before he attempts to use them,
and then he shoots them out wide, unconsciously, as if he's going to give them a bear hug.

He stands too upright and gets no leverage in run blocking.
At times, he seems lackadaisical and not quite aware of his surroundings.

                      NFL comp: Trevor Penning

                      A big project with tools.

Speaking of Penning, Chaincrusher should be allowed to swing on by for draft talk every year.
Give him a total of 90 minutes of online time in April so he can't filibuster entire threads.

Some people on here are obsessed with certain players, for some it's Bowers, for others it's Nabers or Alt or Harrison Jr.

I don't know what the fuck is wrong with me but I want Jared Verse on the Chargers so bad I can taste it, he's a fucking beast, a tone setter, he has bull rush power, counter moves, and a fucking motor that doesn't quit...IDK, nobody is talking about him as a charger and in most prognostications he's slated to go in the mid first round but what NFL teams think and what the mainstream media believes sometimes ends up being really different...thing is I really like Dallas Turner too, and he might actually be a better prospect from a raw talent perspective but I think Verse is gonna be a fucking superstar...I know I know we kept both of edge players for 2024 but they are both gone after next season...I think in a regular draft without all these fucking QBs Verse would be a top 5 pick no questions asked, he's so much better than the guy the Jaguars took #1 just a couple of years ago and I think he's also better than the guy that the Texans traded back up to get last year...Yes, their are only a couple of guys worth the 5th pick straight up and I think both Verse and Turner are easily worth that pick...

I'm probably going to get a lot of shit on here for saying this but the more I see of the OTs the more and more I feel like they are kind of getting overrated in this draft...and also, the one position that I would downgrade high is the WRs but only because there are so many good ones all the way thru to the 5th round, the more I think about it, it just makes sense to go Edge with the 5th pick if a trade down doesn't materialize...confirmation bias I guess...

I would have no problem with any of the top three pass-rushers at #5. I like Verse a lot, too. It seems like we could get either Verse or Turner in a trade down to #11, which would be even better. We could probably get Latu at #23 if the trade with Minnesota is executed.

If we can't trade down, and Verse is the pick, I won't complain.
