Is Puni the best guy for us for a team that wants to run the ball? If we play him at RT, he is a good pass protector but not as good a run blocker. And at RG do we want a inside guy who isn't a strong run blocker?
I like his potential but weak run blocking has been our problem so can't get past that. What does Thorn say about his run blocking at the next level?
I like that Frazier was a wrestler. Helps with hand placement.
IMO, we're going to rate offensive linemen on their ability to run-block first and foremost. Meaning that certain players will be a bit higher/lower on our board than other teams' boards.Protect the QB

Source: #CTESPN Everyone saying the trade cannot happen because of a trade clause Justin Herbert’s contract does specify a no trade clause However, it states that if Herbert agrees to trade it waives the no trade clause Herbert has interest in teaming with Jefferson

But it doesn't mean they fit our system best... or can perform the duties that we need them to do in our scheme.

However, If he takes well to coaching he could be a very good prospect. Another thing, all his snaps have been at LG and LT.1. Mason Taylor TE LSU
2. Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio st
3. Kyle Kennard Edge So. Carolina ✓
4. CJ West DT Indiana
5. Don'te Thornton WR Tennessee
6. Zah Frazier CB UTSA
6. Jarquez Hunter RB Auburn
6. Jay Higgins LB Iowa
6. Hunter Wohler S Wisconsin
7. Carson Vinson OT Alabama

They all look like very good pass blockers. From what I can surmise... they all have very good lateral movement skills.
They seem to all be part of an outside zone blocking scheme (correct me if I'm wrong).
Does that mean they couldn't be coached up in the power-gap...? IDK... I just haven't seen enough power gap to tell.
All of them seem to have the "girth" to do it.
I'll tell you... the IOL class looks really good... and deep.Protect the QB

I no longer expect the Bolts to trade down in the first. Hortiz wants a one sided deal. I like that.
But all I ever see is us trading away from a premium player for a solid player and a bag of beans. Not happening. Just pick at 5 and walk away happy.
I also am picking up the vibe that the QBs might be dropping in value. Stay tuned on that one. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

That makes sense F21 because now that Joe has gone public with that, he can't take a fair deal. So in a way it's almost like preparing the fanbase for sticking at 5 and communicating that we didn't get a good enough deal.
Might be doing this because he's realized there isn't a strong enough demand for 2nd tier QB prospects.
I'll still mock for the Minnesota trade down because I think Arizona sticks and picks MH2.
I think us and Minnesota is happening and it will involve 2025 pick(s)HAMMER TIME
(can't touch him)
