2. This year's Round 2 pick
3. Ask for this year's Round 3 pick, but settle for a 4th rounder
4. Throw in next year's Round 4 pick and you've got a deal!
5. All this in addition to this year's #8-10 overall, of course...

Cha-CHING!
I would be happy with the 8th pick plus a 2nd and 4th this year and settle for a 2025 3rd but start with a 1st and go to a 2nd maybe settle for a 3rd. Especially if three QBs go in the first three picks and MHJr goes 4th

I love Bowers - maybe my favorite player in the draft. But if you can get two other players to have 6 picks in the top 110ish range - -has to be considered.

For everyone who thinks trading back is so great. You are either looking at anecdotal evidence from a handful of teams, do not understand math and percentages, or both.
Why anyone thinks it is better to give up better odds to get a handful of worse odds is crazy to me.
The numbers show us the following outline for finding consistent starters:
1st Round - OL (83%) LB (70%) TE (67%) DB (64%) QB (63%) WR (58%) RB (58%) DL (58%)
2nd Round - OL (70%) LB (55%) TE (50%) WR (49%) DB (46%) QB (27%) DL (26%) RB (25%)
3rd Round - OL (40%) TE (39%) LB (34%) DL (27%) WR (25%) DB (24%) QB (17%) RB (16%)
4th Round - DL (37%) TE (33%) OL (29%) LB (16%) WR(12%) DB (11%) RB (11%) QB (8%)
5th Round - TE (32%) DB (17%) WR (16%) OL (16%) DL (13%) RB (9%) LB (4%) QB (0%)
6th Round - TE (26%) OL (16%) DL (13%) WR (9%) DB (8%) RB (6%) LB (5%) QB (0%)
7th Round - DB (11%) OL (9%) QB (6%) WR (5%) DL (3%) LB (2%) RB (0%) TE (0%)

I am not trading out of the top 10 for sure and really 8 seems fine with me.
Plus the Chargers need a lot. If they stay at 5 and get Bowers or even Nabers or Alt - thats fine. But depending on what happens that day, they shuold be prepared.

I'm also not sure that people we say trade down mean trade the 5th pick for several second round picks. If you went from 5 to 10, you still get a high pick plus several other picks that have a chance to help.
The lowest I have seen a person suggest is like 12 to the Vikings. I personally would sitll want top 10 -12 is even too low. That for sure would have to be a 2025 FRP along with 2/3 this year.

draft capital, could be a 2nd rounder or early 3rd. Strong possibility there.
