Last I saw, Dru Tranquill should get the Chargers- (drum roll please) - a 7th round pick. What I saw was pick 255. Better than nothing.

      49ers would disagree...EVERY PICK COUNTS!

I'm wondering about all of the others. How far back does pick number 5 get pushed back in the later rounds?

I took a look and found varying results. 5 3rds, 2 to 4 4ths, 8 or 9 5ths, 11 or 12 6ths and 3 to 5 7th's (one of which is ours supposedly). By the time you get to your 6th round pick 16 - 18 additional players are gone and 28 - 30 by round 7. It's almost an entire extra round added in.

Right but at least we don't have that problem in the first 3 rounds. And we pick high in round 4.

Just hope we can draft better than Telesco in rounds 3 thru 7.

Wouldn't it be better if they get a couple cornerstone pieces?
Sure I’d love to have 2 top 10 picks also, but what are you willing to give up for it? Would you trade our 2nd round pick this year plus our 1st and 2nd round picks next year? Because that is probably what it would take to pry a top 10 pick away from a team.

he was great on TV, but it is ALWAYS tougher to be doing the real thing. same thing with former coaches as announcers / ESPN cheeseballs (much easier from the booth or the ESPN round table).

All I can say is I had Puka routinely in my mocks last year in the 4th - 5th round. If only TT would have read my e-mails.

Became Raiders GM, fired, now faded into the abyss.

The pick of Brock Purdy is one of the most intriguing choices of all time.
What makes it even juicier is the fact that Trey Lance was a failure as a trade/pick.
49ers gave up Micah Parsons and 2 first round picks to get Trey Lance. LOL!

                        Every pick counts indeed!

To have MHJ/Nabers and Bowers? Yeah I would probably do it. Giving up 1 year of not having a 1st or 2nd rnd pick vs having the WR/TE combo for 5-10 yrs w/ Herbert sounds good to me. Even if it doesn't work out it's not going to kill you.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!
