Daniel Jerimiah says that someone likened Puka to Hines Ward. That's pretty accurate.

Let's see how he does over the next few seasons...I'm just not in the camp that he's better than KA or Mike Williams in raw talent. Whenever they're Healthy they play really good. The question is "can they stay Healthy?" We had the John/Tom/Brandon show making picks so we can do better...I'm just not in the camp that it's so easy to find above average players (Receivers) past say the 4th round...the reason for this happening can be minimal game tape plus lower competition venues allow players to slide down the draft. Yes, you can find players but man it's really random luck thrown in...
Chiefs won the Superbowl with 10 Rookies....

I guess you’ve backed off the Palmer comparison and now you’re comparing him to Keenan and Mike. He’s better with YAC than either of those guys. Keenan is probably a better route runner. And Keenan is an all time Charger receiver. This guys a rookie. The Rams also have Cooper Kupp who was an MVP caliber player a season ago. And he became the Rams #1 guy. Over Cooper Kupp. That’s how good he is

He's just not in the elite category that I see in superstar receivers...give him another couple seasons before you crown him....

I’m in LA so I’ve been inundated with Puka talk all season since game 1. So I admit I’ve been influenced

If we keep Allen then we should not need to draft a WR. I think TE would be available in later rounds.

that should put our focus on OT, CB, EDGE….IF WE KEEP MACK WHICH I WOULD WE DONT HAVE AS MANY HOLES TO FILL.

Does anyone know if there is a good first rd player that could drop to us in second rd. If we get Harbaugh as coach I would think he would know that considering the players he has played against.

He is not a classic burner, or X receiver with ridiculous athleticism no, but he is a baller. But he still put up more yards as a rookie than any receiver in NFL history, including all the flashy thoroughbreds.

The Hines Ward comparison was a very good one. Hines had a pretty significant career, helping his team win.

Ward is a good comp, but he's definitely smaller than Puka.

For good comps, for size, speed and style, I see him more like Cris Carter and Art Monk. Guys that are 6'2"/6'3" exceptional route runners, have great hands and a real nose for the game.

Idk, lots of players look good for a season or two, with the names he’s being compared to he needs many many years of sustained success before he is even in their conversation.

Even if we keep an aging Allen, I believe we DO want/need to draft a WR. Apparently they go down to injury quite easily. And I'd LOVE to see a blue chip WR with Justin Herbert. Would open up SO many possibilities.

Just to calibrate. Sounds exactly like the criticism Herbert’s received from other teams fans. Are you offended when you hear that about Herbert?
