The Chargers have a really fast receiver in Derius Davis who was under used last year, IMHO. Bowers with Davis, QJ, KA, and likely 2024 draft pick will be very difficult to cover all these guys. I know QJ needs to work on his confidence and catching ability but not ready to give up on him yet.
And With The 5th Pick Of The NFL Draft Chargers Select....Discussion

Bills WRs dropped at least 2 deep balls and Allen missed on at least 2-3 big throws.1. Mason Taylor TE LSU

1. EVERY OT gets beat on a couple plays every game.
2. Good TEs are making a huge difference in every game, often the winning difference
3. Interior DTs that disrupt both pass and run throw the whole fucking offense off kilter. Great teams have this central anchor.
4. Receivers making huge impact are not Top 5 Rd1 superstars
My Charger Analysis
1. Pipkins is not elite but we can survive
2. We do not have a TE like this
3. We do not have an Interior DT player that does this
4. We don't have a true Elite #1 WR (KA does that job within his physical limitations, imagine if he was #2)
So ... TE, DT, and WR are more likely to improve the 2024 Chargers than OT with R1 pick. Plus I'm not convinced Alt or Fashanu are really top tier OTs that are that much better than the next tier.
Question will be are they aiming for 2024, or 2025?
If building the trench - trade down and go DL with R1 pick
IF adding a weapon, I'd go Bowers then Nabers, but can see B, N or Odunze all as viably too close to really nitpick about.
Watching an injured Ragnow deal with Vita Vea was awesome.
If the rest of our OL are acceptable, then our OC and OL coach are not good enough. We could not run, which is a must and pass pro was not good. Also a must.
We need Bowers and a RB that can block, catch and run.
I like DT also but care more about taking care of Herbert and helping him dominate on O.
We were one of the NFL's weakest 2nd half offenses, maybe the worst in 3rd quarter. That shit HAS to stop.
I want us to play with the big boys and put Herbert back on the charts that count. TDs and Ws in 2024.Last edited by sonorajim; 01-22-2024, 11:27 AM.

In my 40's I'd watch Scotty Kilmer, read James Patterson books, and meditate.
In my expert opinion QJ should catch footballs while watching Blood Sport cut scenes while his oil is being drained via oil change. He'd be a badass WR!!!!

Allen was not sacked and they ran the ball for 180 yards. They lacked explosive playmakers. Gabe Davis was out and Diggs is 30 and not the same.
DRAFT EXPLOSIVENESS!!!!
But maybe having a Kelce type in Bowers opens things up for average WRs...
LOL who knows.

May have to sign one as well or draft two. Maybe he likes his Michigan TE AJ Barner in round 5 as well.
I just don't see Parham as a good fit if we switch to that offensive set. Maybe he can be a #3, and he is signed for next year.
But we don't know yet til he hires a OC and Moore isn't here.1. Mason Taylor TE LSU
