I'm guessing he's addicted to marijuana. Can't find another logical reason for that.

Would to see Thomas be given a try at TE. I am sure he 's opposed, but I think could cause serious match up issues. And you have an emergency #3 QB if needed.

If Thomas's issues were JUST mechanical, he might have a shot. But he has trouble seeing the D, makes poor reads and poor decisions in general. I don't have a problem with him playing a little QB while he learns another position, but we don't have a roster that can handle a developmental guy with this much work involved. I'm not sure you can fix the reads/vision/decision making thing.

I'm going to the Padres game Thursday (my friend is a big Marlins fan and got tickets), so I am recording the first round and then going media blackout that night so I can watch it when I get home Friday. If the NFL wouldn't have screwed around with the dates, I wouldn't have this issue.

Shazier, Dee Ford, Clowney.......some hot rumors about Demarcus Lawrence going in the first but I have a hard time believing that. A lot of pass rushers are going to go in the second: Van Noy, Ataochu, Lawrence, Marcus Smith etc....

Clowney, Mack and Barr are the blue chip guys. There are the usual number of red chip guys floating around, if you are patient enough to develop them over the next couple of years. I don't think we have any chance of getting the blue chip guys, so we will have to settle for drafting a guy lower and then being patient and developing them. Attaochu has a very nice burst, as does Dee Ford, but both are tremendously raw, and have 1 move, can't use their hands and no experience doing anything but rushing the QB.

Shazier and Van Noy are more complete pass rushers, but neither has show much as an edge rusher, playing down. Both have great speed, and timing on the blitz, and both show good to very good instincts reading and reacting to plays. Both strike me as more classic LB, but not great edge rushers, which is what we need.
