check out Vita Vea for the Huskies (if you are watching). Probably won't come out this year, but if can get a little more consistency, he is a beast. 2nd this year, 1st next year, i would think.

What does anyone know about Derek Barnett? Is he on the same level as Allen and Garrett? Would he be a good fit opposite Bosa, especially if we move to a more classic 4-3?

He's not on nearly the same level as Allen and Garrett. But he is a good player. I could see him being an option if we trade down or if we drafted him in the 2nd/3rd round. He doesn't fit the ideal mold as the prototype 43 DE, but he is a good player who uses his hands, has decent technique and can really dip and get under OT. He is also a solid run defender, which is always a nice attribute in a guy who is basically a pass rusher.

I would really like to get a explosive speed guy, who has a great first step opposite Bosa, but Barnett would be a good guy to have in a rotation who can play in all the different situations and be productive across the board.

The wiki entry says that draft eligible players, which would include underclassmen. The coaches are usually NFL retired coaches.

How far does Eddie "The Savage" Jackson fall due to the broken leg?

So when you say "explosive guy", you're talking about Garret or Allen? Anyone else fit that profile in the first, or even the second? And would you guess they resign Ingram based on who is available when they pick? Or will it depend solely on Melvin's asking price?

Players that have me intrigued this draft are Mike Williams, Cam Robinson, Dan Freeney, Marlon Humphrey, Jamal Adams, Ryan Ramczyk, Budda Baker, Ike Ford. I'm not as big on Cam as some, he is NFL ready but probably at RT. Ramczyk, Buddha and Ford will be late 1st early second type guys. I know some might disagree but I think we have need at WR.
