Not having this conversation right now. We're in the playoffs, and there are more important matters to discuss. This conversation will probably continue in the offseason.
Convenient. When the player does well it’s time to talk about it, when they don’t there are more important matters to discuss.
Calling any rookie that got drafted, made the 53 man roster that was a 6th round pick a miss is premature. Give him at least another year and see if there is improvement. I think most 6th round picks are for depth anyways and if you get more than that, it’s a plus.
RBs have short shelf life. They need to provide impact quickly. You hope they start to grow into more of a role by the end of the season not less of a role. RB isn’t a role that has the luxury of time to develop because there are so many good young RBs in the draft to replace them at low draft value. He’s trending very very poorly and that’s a fact.
Can never go wrong in the trenches and Wu is about trenches
But I still think WR is a needed. Chargers have two of them - they need a third.
Also need a receiving TE.
OG, Center, Edge (as I think at least Bosa if not both Bosa and Mack are gone), and WR and TE
maybe they fix the IOL and go finish building the defense for 2025 smashmouth trench warfare, then backfill here n there with whatever they can find for "weapons"?
everyone talks about Jim loves OL and rushing, how about Jim loves great defense too? UM = great defense, ok offense. 49es - great defense, decent offense. Stanford, fuck if I know, I can't remember his Stanford teams lol ...
As it was last week for you, when you were nowhere to be found after Vidal averaged 4.8 yards to Haskins' 3.8 against the Patriots.
Unlike two weeks ago, I don't feel like going back and forth on this with YOU right now, but will be more than happy to in the offseaon.
Ahh sorry, I didn’t come in to discuss his 5 Carries for 24 yards and being out carried by Hasan Haskins. lol, sorry I didn’t think that needed to be defended. You also didn’t respond directly to me, for obvious reasons, last week. Probably because you have a really weak argument and he is trending down in the pecking order to a 4th rounder who was let go by his previous team.
Happy to discuss in the offseason but it will become obvious next season. I’m willing to admit he COULD improve over the offseason and become a competent backup, but it doesn’t look good right now based on his usage or lack thereof.

I hope they build through the trenches and all indicators say that’s probably what they do. They probably draft a guard late in round 1 and a RB rnd2. As much as a wish for Jeanty unless they trade way up I just don’t see it happening.
So how sure are you that Vidal isn’t a miss? In an important game Haskins took his lunch money and Vidal never touched the ball. Not a good sign for a rookie who should be getting better not losing playing time to Hassan Haskins.
Vidal is trending hard to the miss category and there is no denying it.
I am not sure Vidal is a miss, but he is a depth RB. You certainly dont not look seriously at the best RB draft in years, a draft stacked with good backs above 220 lbs, and pass on adding another RB because you took Vidal in the 6th round of a much weaker RB draft.
You draft a stud to challenge Dobbins for RB1 or to take over when Dobbins inevitably misses games.

He is not a miss for a 6th round depth pick no, but people who think we dont need to add and upgrade the RB room because we drafted Vidal in the 6th round last year are pretty off base
At best we will be drafting in the last 7-8 slots of the first round as the draft oder stands to date, so I think that the TEs who have been talked about often in Warren and Loveland will not be available by when it will be our time on the clock.
Both Haskins and Vidal are replacement level RBs in the NFL.
We had zero run game when Dobbins was out. This position needs to be upgraded. I am confident it will be.
I have never disagreed with you on that.
I want a running back early next April. It remains to be seen if Vidal has what it takes to be one of the four running backs next season. My guess is he will be.

one of them might be. But if not - ok, I'll take Hampton, Fannin or Tyler, you talked me into it.
