I think if Mark Andrews is cut, they will try to bring him in. Either Andrews or Juwan Johnson, just in case they lose out on Warren and Loveland in the draft.

On another note, why isn’t Ollie Gordon getting more hype? He looks like a big, fast, agile bulldozer that can catch out of the backfield. And he doesn’t go down easy. I can see him pairing up with Dobbins and Vidal very nicely. If he’s there I. The 3rd, I’d probably take him then. I think he’ll rise up the board as the process continues. Right now projected in the 5th or so.

If Kenneth Grant didnt play for Michigan, would he get Charger buzz?

When reviewing the season, and the performance of our defense, is DT a position that screams for 1st round attention...a desperate need?

Will Grant even be BPA at #22?

      SMH...I just dont get it...

Now, I will concede that a wild FA that has us landing a couple of IOL and a splash WR like Higgins, really opens up picking a defender at #22...but wouldnt that be Edge? I just cant envision a scenario where we pick Grant...it makes zero sense to me

Im not saying Grant isnt good enough for #22...but he isnt SO good that you pick him when you already have a pretty good dline, but shitty IOL, half full TE room, alot of injury miles on your top 2 rbs, and an Edge room with Bosa likely leaving, and Mack a year or two from retirement.

DT and DB are the least likely picks, IMO...outside of QB, lol...
2026 Post combine Sig Mock 2.0

      1. Blake Miller G/T Clemson
      2. Gabe Jacas Edge Illinois
      3. Jalon Kilgore DB South Carolina
      4. Zane Durant DT Penn State
      6. Jager Burton G/C Kentucky

I don't know If he choose drugs but he was one lazy fuck and didn't want to work at being a better QB and thought his talent alone would get him through

I still am adament he is not a true inline TE...not that he couldnt survive a handful of snaps per game there...but if our staff can use a flex TE in this scheme, he fits the bill as a weapon. What really does it for me is his hands and natural pass catching ability...it IS very Gates like...he often breaks in his routes with a great angle away from the defenders pursuit path, so he always has first grabs at the ball...or other times, uses his body to get between the pass and the defender...and he always catches the ball! Great hands...and yea, he shows some YAC...

Also, as a flex TE, its not like he cant support the run game...in fact, from a big slot or split wide position, he can engulf DBs with his big frame, and wall off pursuit LBs on outside runs...

22 is a little rich for me...but...I like him alot for Herbie...and wont pan anybody who thinks he is worth the reach.

Now...if he comes into the combine closer to 240 and runs well...might change my mind.
Speaking of TEs. Reid of ESPN put out his new top 50. Arroyo up to 35 and Taylor at 47. That feeds my fears that neither will be there at 55.

The othe thing that cam out of radio row at senior Bowl and SB is TreyVon Henderson rising and firmly at RB4 or RB3 for some ....behind Jeanty, Hamptom, Johnson.

Chris Jones was pick 37. Can Grant be that guy? We need a stud DT. I like Poona and Tart but they've been around and didn't shine until they played for Minter.

not a shared opinion, and.... think he'll be the best player on the board 'soon as the two CBs come off the board, as think those three are the All Pros outta this bunch/class.

and not sold on too many of these edges being worth 22.... maybe Mykel, albeit still think I'd lean Grant over him ??

and we need a pass rush and to supplant Mack 'n Bosa, and not sure any EDs are gonna get that done ??

and thinkin' out loud, really think that IDL anchor is what makes the D, and.... not sure we have that guy, albeit am grateful for the both of Poona 'n Teair, and.... would be nice to draft someone to eventually supplant them.

bottom line for me, is am not drafting for need, and TE, RB, WR is not value @22 by my take.... what is value is Grant, and.... outside of Otito 'n Tuli, what youth do we have on the Dline ??

if you're picking for need, you're usually just filling holes, and when am pretty certain the goal is the Bowl, and.... IDL is an imperative in that equation, far as am concerned ??

pff had Jones rated top ten that stanza, and.... that ranking held up.

                    32) KANSAS CITY CHIEFS: ELIJAH ARROYO, TE, MIAMI

As Travis Kelce gets closer and closer to the end of his career, people have been mocking tight-ends to the Chiefs at the end of Round 1 for years. Here they finally do it and grab Arroyo, whose 2024 tape has top-20 player written all over it. Arroyo is the total package and does everything you would ask a TE to do at an extremely high level.

if Egbuka is off the board, and you consider Ayomanor's injury concerns, then there's only one receiver left under consideration....

round three Josiah Stewart, and like on other boards of late, is just off the board before 86, albeit not the case for Skattebo, Savion Williams, Burch, Jared Wilson, Gadsden, Jayden Higgins, RJ Harvey, and Devin Neal.

Bad enough Bowers will be rocking silver and black for years. If Chiefs get another elite TE weapon as soon as Kelce is at the end that will suck...while we have plodders at TE

Please Hortiz, take note, Gates just got elected to the HOF!! Its time to make TE relevant here again
