We could possibly get Tate Ratledge in the 2nd round, but I would rather take a TE. Either way. I don't see any above average guards getting selected after the 2nd or 3rd round. We won't be able to get everything we need in the next draft.
I'd be fine with a Nick Hardwick in the 3rd.

Aside from Slater, we are nearing the point towards admitting that Telesco struck out his entire Charger GM career drafting Olinemen.

Pretty fucking amazing ... that's 11 drafts of adhering to the strategy of drafting projects (guys they draft to switch to new positions).

Tevi will turn out to be his 2nd best pick: they actually kept him at tackle his entire career.

Draft a center to play center!!!!!

OTC has Connor Williams' current market value estimated at $5.1million/year. I suspect he'll command more than that this off-season. Needless to say, I'd love for us to get CW. Problem being... I'm not so sure Hortiz loves to buy expensive FA's.

Having said that, my first impression of the center draft class isn't great. There are no Ragnow's, Humphrey's, or Linderbaum's.
If I were king... I'd cut Trey Pipkins free this off-season and use his $6.75m savings toward Connor Williams.

That would be a good move.

I have seen that the Chargers are projected to have the 4th most cap space at 90 million next year. Hopefully that means that Hortiz wont go totally cheap and will spend a little for important positions of extreme need, like center, where we know there arent many options in the 2025 draft.

Possible... but as you know, there will be a lot of FA's leaving this off-season.
I'm hoping some are retained: Mack, ASJ, Fulton, Dobbins, Ford, Perryman.

Cutting Bosa and Pipkins would allow for more cap room.

I am getting the same vibe from this board about Brailsford that I got from Creed Humphrey...undervalued.

              I could be happy with Ratledge-Brailsford 1-2.

Whoa... I haven't watched too much of Brailsford. But a Creed Humphrey comparison...?

QB * don't see anyone am too keen on in the draft, but in FA would be ok w/bringing Heinicke back, or w/the either or both of Jarrett Stidham and/or Brett Rypien (QB3)
RB * not certain we're going to be able to resign Dobbins, 'specially if he's somehow coming off an injury, and the three guys in the draft I like here are all day three atm
WR * won't be surprised if the wideout bridgade prevails again this year, albeit am not married to anyone in FA nor the draft, again atm as think we've got enough for now
TE * am on the Tyler Warren bandwagon here, and also like Oronde Gadsden II (Stone Smartt competition) some later as well
OT * am ok w/Jamaree for now, as don't really see anyone in FA nor the draft here
OG * was a bit surprised that Pips survived the June 1st cuts last offseason, and think it would be a very good investment to splurge on Trey Smith in his stead
OC * ditto w/Bradley, as not overly disappointed in him, as he has played pretty much as advertised, albeit preferred Connor Williams last offseason, and 'tis still the case

NT * very big lean here in round one as would be ok w/the either of Deone Walker or Kenneth Grant, and also have an eye out for Dontay Corleone day two, and also would like to resign Teair
DT * ditto for wanting to resign Poona, and have an eye out for Golden Domer Howard Cross day two as well
DE * ditto once again for thinking it wise to tender a contract to Morgan Fox once more, and like Egboigbe a bit here as well
ED * ditto thrice as would pony up the cash for Khalil for another go 'round, as not sure there is much of anyone else in FA, and as thinkin' Mykel Williams might well be off the board before we select round one
ILB * am bringin' back Denzel if I can here, as like him paired w/Junior here
OLB * and ditto w/resigning Troy Dye for now and providing insurance behind Henley, albeit am def lookin' LB late in day three to shore up the depth @LB
CB * would be lookin' to resign Fulton and Asante here, and would tender an offer to Eric Stokes as well, and waiting 'til day three/round four before going CB in the draft, as like what Joe did last stanza here in the draft
SS * had my eye on Kevin Winston here for a bit, albeit not in lieu of losing out on Tyler Warren, and given that it would be a bit pricey to get out from under the Derwin James investment
FS * for now do like having Alohi on the field, and appreciate the job Molden has done to date as would look to resign him as well

ST * am fine w/status quo for now
LB CJ Allen, LT Caleb Lomu, OC Parker Brailsford, RB Demond Claiborne, TE Justin Joly, NT Dontay Corleone, OC Bryce Foster, CB Josh Moten, LB Eric Gentry

                    1) WR Tetairoa McMillan, ED Mykel Williams, NT Kenneth Grant, NT Deone Walker, OG Jonah Savaiinaea * focused on the IDL as thinkin' McMillan or Williams is unlikely
                    2) TE Tyler Warren, NT Dontay Corleone, OG Donovan Jackson, DE JT Tuimoloau, S Kevin Winston * would Joe move up again early to nab the Penn State TE ??
                    3) DT Howard Cross, OC Parker Brailsford * both these guys are undersized by a bit, and.... might be pound 4 pound a pennywise investment
                    4) CB Domani Jackson * am sure there are other gets here, albeit am not seeing 'em atm
                    5) RB Devin Neal * we get two here, albeit am one short atm
                    6) CB JaCobee Bryant, ED RJ Oben, TE Oronde Gadsden II * we get four here, and so am again one short atm
                    7) RB Raheim Sanders * would be very happy w/this s******** down here

                    8) WR J Michael Sturdivant, RB Ulysses Bentley IV, WR Bru McCoy, OLB Eric Gentry, OLB Justin Flowe, ILB Cody Simon * good depth here if we can lure them in as UDFAs

Terairoa McMillan hasn't done so well against the better teams in college football. He had a monster game against the worst defense in college football in Week 1, and a bunch of people overreacted to that. Last week he had five receptions for 38 yards against Colorado. About a month ago he had six receptions for 50 yards against Utah. I would stay away from him in the first round.

The comparison I made was in terms of talent level not play style per se.
TT did not have the onions to draft Humphrey.
