If you believe the rumors that last year's #5 pick was between Alt and Brian Thomas Jr. then there is likely a good chance, they could take a WR @ #22. Golden is similar to Thomas Jr but he doesn't have the size. He does have the speed though. Could be what Harbaugh is looking for on the outside. I would prefer a RB but would not hate taking Golden @ #22.

Where did Roman say he was in love with Zabel? I haven't seen any Charger's coach comment on him.

My bad I didn't mean it literally, I just meant to say that I see a guy perfect for Roman's run scheme.
Center who can double up and easily release into the 2nd level. Also stout in pass pro.

Well, they could double or triple team him but what are you going to do with Ladd? Let him run free? Even though Ladd was really the only WR threat, teams had a hard time doubling him up. If you had a TE like Taylor, then what are you going to do? I know QJ doesn't get a lot of love on here, but you can't let him just run wild either.

They get a WR like Golden this will free up QJ to be himself. Let Golden do what they tried to do with QJ. Let QJ line up outside and run slants and dig routes. Teams would have a hard time defending Golden, PJ, Ladd, and Taylor. Add Adams and a stud RB to the mix then forget about it....

Exactly....In college the game plan was to just shut golden down regardless of the other players as far as I can tell. Can't do that with other quality receivers on any pro team every play.

Jordan Reid #35 says he projects best at Center, starts now at Guard; again our position of highest need in a PON draft.

Mock Database says consensus for Zabel is #25 Texans with IOL needs like ours.

We will see where this all trends in March & April.

None of those sources has access to Hortiz's draft board. They can say whatever they want, but it doesn't make it true.

I think I would pass on Zabel in rnd #1. There is better value there than Zabel, IMHO. There's just too many "? marks" for me, but that's just me.

Thx for info but they are as accurate as Daniel J. I do not believe that Zabel will be a pick at 22 as he is not BPA and over a year and some Hortiz said BPA and trust the board. That's not Zabel who started raising at Senior Bowl.

I'm have no comments on OL who are worth what in this draft as I've studied none of them. I'm for signing a couple FAs there and drafting depth who can maybe start down the road so I haven't watched ANY.

Leaving that to the trenchers here. I didn't even watch the last day of the combine because watching OL do drills is a snooze fest for me.

However, I'd venture to GUESS, Zabel being where he is from and limited OC snaps from highschool, . ...as a rookie he may struggle there and then we are possibly weak at OC again this year. But who knows.

At #22 if he is there along with Hampton, Loveland, Grant , Golden,... Any of those guys,. ...I'm passing. But that's me.
I'm going to also guess/hope we have something in place at OC before the draft,.....not named Bozeman
