beach, I am still jonesing for Savaiinaea as an ORG for us.

Sure there are plenty of reasons to think otherwise.

We play the most DIME vs Base offenses by a wide, wide margin, so Malachi Starks is a pipe dream in wu's world.

LOL, maybe Dissly is our stud TE.

I would not lose sleep waiting until round 5 for a RB.

    So much more to unwrap...
If you are looking for the skill set the Chargers are looking for look no further than Ford. He has the skill set the Chargers are looking for. He can hold up on run D but has enough speed to get after the QB.

A couple of NT/DT that I am looking at in 2nd/3rd rnds is Omarr Norman-Lott, Vols and T.J. Sanders, Gamecocks. These guys are wide bodied dudes that can get after the QB.

Unlike last year this draft is really deep at D-line/Edge that the Chargers can get some nice depth from this draft.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

      Good scouts eye, Sir.

I wonder where Okoye and Eboigbe are gonna be in their development arc, come 2025 camp ?

We are gonna get to see Ford, Mack and Bosa, all three, working it hard tomorrow night.
      We play modern Harball.

        "Wait until year two."

Well, square pegs do not fit in a round hole, don't forget.

The mock simulator machines do not take into account scheme fits.

Well, Wood, u may have been the inspiration for a new acronym: BF (Best Fit)...we need to revisit this in any future evals of prospects...

Here’s an idea for WR next year. Offer the Titans a 6th for Treylon Burks and see if they bite. Get him in here training with BH, Sanjay and the rest of the WRs as early as possible this offseason. Obviously the Physical skill set is not the issue, he needs his confidence back just like QJ. He is a big physical WR that can be a good player.

Then go out and sign a vet like KJ Osborn to fill out the WR room.

I think Rice also makes a big jump going into year 2.

          Go into the season with.

          QJ
          McConkey
          Burks
          Rice
          Osborn
          DD

I think waiting another year to splash at the WR in free agency will pay dividends. The free agent WR in 2026 are much better.

Build the lines. Personally, I see an IDL in the 1st this year because they are there. Although maybe an ED falls that is too good to pass up.

TE? Still a luxury pick in the 1st IMO.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
            Let’s win one for Mack.

IMO, Sanjay has really improved the play of our WRs. QJ has really improved. And Herbie’s grip strength has too.

Totally agree, that’s why I think Sanjay could do good things with a talent like Burks.

                  01) Jax * CB/WR Travis Hunter * obvious trade down candidate

                  03) Vegas * QB Shedeur Sanders * don’t think the GM nor HC survive here
                  04) Pats * OT Kelvin Banks Jr. * best of a weak lot of OTs, @least far as eye can surmise
                  05) Carolina * WR Tetairoa McMillan * not gonna put it all on Bryce, not quite yet anyways
                  06) Titans * OT Will Campbell * not sure what it is, but would steer clear of this guy
                  07) Jets * CB Will Johnson * sorry ARod, as this guy is just too solid to pass on
                  08) Browns * QB Cameron Ward * dude is taller ’n heavier than Shedeur
                  09) Saints * WR Luther Burden III * this class is a tad underwhelming
                  10) Cincy * NT Kenneth Grant * hate to see him go this early, and this class is hardly stacked up top
                  11) Dallas * RB Ashton Jeanty * seems like a foregone conclusion in punditry land
                  12) Bears * NT Deone Walker * don’t get why this guy is fallin’ outta round one
                  13) Indy * ILB Jihaad Campbell * prolly better than Mike Curtis
                  14) Miami * QB Carson Beck * TT not lookin’ like a longterm solution/answer
                  15) Bucs * ED Mykel Williams * is it the injury bug that is hampering guys like Mykel ’n Deone
                  16) Rams * OT Wyatt Milum * not sure this guy is all that, and will stick him here for now
                  17) SF * OL Jonah Savaiinaea * not sure where he plugs in, but they need help somewhere there
                  18) Az * CB Denzel Burke * apparently this guy has been a bit sucky this year, but not last
                  19) Atlanta * ED James Pearce Jr. * another guy that has fallen off the map some
                  20) Seattle * S Kevin Winston * have seen him penciled in mid first, but not too very often
                  21) Commas * OT Emery Jones * like this guy some, but what happened Ben Sinnot ?? !!
                  22) Texans * S Malaki Starks * dude has mixed reviews, best as I can tell
                  23) Denver * WR Egmeka Egbuka * spells Jeudy
                  24) Ravens * ED Abdul Carter * spells Kyle Van Noy
                  25) LAC * TE Tyler Warren * or do you prefer LaLa Loveland
                  26) Steelers * QB Jalen Milroe * I’ll take the pundit cheese here
                  27) GBay * CB Benjamin Morrison * again not sure this guy is the answer, but they’ve got injury concerns here
                  28) Minny * OT Aireontae Ersery * not sure if this guy is the answer/can help, and….
                  29) Philly * ED Jalon Walker * prolly sleeping’ on this guy as he could well be long gone
                  30) Bills * DE JT Tuimoloau * he’s that power rusher that Hortiz often references
                  31) KC * TE Colston Loveland * post Swifty reinforcement
                  32) Lions * ED Jack Sawyer * do they need some young blood on the edge

Hits for me include Corleone-Cincinnati and Tafuna-Utah.

I think we retain both Poona and Tart.

IMHO, those 2 are priority signings along with a few others.

This draft for IDL/DE/Edge is like last year's draft for WRs, it's loaded. There will be very good IDL/DE/Edge players available later in the draft. I don't think they necessarily need to use a 1st rounder this year on one of those positions. This is a good draft to get great depth at those positions.

This D line is the backbone of this D. I’m not giving them up too soon if their contract demands are not too extreme. And I draft future top quality rotational players to it to keep it that way.
