Although this doesn't affect us, I don't think Georgia would have beaten Texas if Carson Beck hadn't gotten injured. I give Beck a lot of credit for coming back in on the final play to hand the ball off after Gunner Stockton's helmet popped off from a massive hit, but Stockton, while not great, did a better job of leading the Bulldogs in the second half than Beck did in the first. Beck did a great job in leading Georgia back in the fourth quarter and overtime to beat Georgia Tech last week, but I don't think he would have done the same against Texas. I think Georgia will be a better team with Stockton next season, as he had an outstanding high school career and looks the part in college.

If I were a general manager in need of a starting quarterback, I would not invest a first-round pick on Beck. I wouldn't draft him until the fourth round, as I think he's a backup in the NFL.

Agree, not sure why he is so high on some lists but he finally had a game he was noticed in. Im not into players that disapear like he does, at least when talking the first round. Does he turn it on when he wants to? He is a player id be having a conversation with Kirby Smart.

All Stockton did was dink and dunk. That INT was a pass he shouldnt have thrown as it wasnt close to anybody but the defender. Beck, reminds me of Mac Jones. Wasnt as good this year but he didnt have Bowers for those shorts passes and catch and runs. Threw twice as many INTs this year and completion % is down. Everything is down actually except TDs. Is he even a step above Stetson Bennett?

That Stockton INT was odd - either he or the receiver did not know the play as you note =- the Receiver ran a deep slant and he threw to the sideline, not one but two DBs closer than any receiver.

Tape shows me a guy who gets easily caught from behind by dbs .... he does have a burst though, which is more important.

I'd guess his 40 time will be in the 4.60 range ... maybe slower.

            If he runs a 4.50, he's a 2nd/early 3rd round guy.

Watched Jake Majors against Texas A&M & Georgia ..... meh, he's okay.

Struggled against Georgia's interior .... the entire Oline did.

              Has to be someone better.

It's a weak draft class. I like Logan Jones out of Iowa.

I DVRd the SEC game as I was running around early in day. I get home to watch and my DVR taped the ESPN version instead of the network normal one. It had 4 ex-athlete clowns on the sideline all game chirping play by play like you’d expect for ex-athlete clowns gathered together to chirp. I never even bothered to listen of figure out who they were, I’m sure they were notable as former players but so what. fuck, well ok - i can at least see the game even if they reduce the video so a side-camera box can show us these 4 clowns as they chirp - because hearing them wouldnt be enough, we need to see the 4 standing on the sideline yucking it up and dropping player type comments.

BUT!!! We’ve got 43 seconds left or so, UT down by 3 … and ESPN fucking cuts away to go to some regularly scheduled broadcast of some lame mid-major conf game, and that game wasn’t even starting yet - they went to the feed and its just announcers talking about it while players are warming up on the field. I missed the game ending, apparently UT tied it for OT, then f’d up and only got a FG while UG scored a TD to walk off.

Beware DVR settings. They can kill.

Watched the B1G game too - Warren is a complete player, they had him lining up everywhere from OT to TE to FB. He even took a direct snap as QB on a play to rush for a first down. I would welcome him to Bolt Nation.

He's likey going to have to make it through the Colts and Broncos. If the Colts take Loveland or Warren, I could possibly see the Chargers trading up past the Broncos to get the other TE. That's if they covet one of the 2 TE's in the 1st.

I’ll take Loveland too. I suspect the more successful of the two will be the one put in the best situation for success. They are both good, worthy 20s Rd1 pick

I agree. I would be happy with either one. Loveland doesn't have the #'s this year because Michigan's QB is shit. I'm sure Harbaugh and Herbert would fix that...lol
