I like Ez but agree he needs to strengthen up on holding a rush edge. I would expect year 1 he sees more passing situations and gets time to grow into a full service edge player for year 2. I like his speed and technique off the edge as a pass rusher for a rookie. Is he a 22? Idunno … Chargers seem to favor edge players that hold the edge, would agree if thats your observation.

Yes he said that, but he isnt a OC, at least hasnt been. Rather draft him as a OG with OC capability. We'll see how Zion works out there there. Having 5 first rounders on your OL is great......if they ALL perform up to it! Zion has not and like Zabel hasnt played OC but we'll see hoe he does,.... and i worry about Zabel. No NDSU players have been great NFL players.

I do like Jeremiah but he tends to over rank guys. On The Huddle Report charts ive posted, Jeremiah is ranked in the middle of he pack.

NDSU OT Dylan Randunz who was highly touted in the draft hasnt lived up to his ranking and is now a OG after being tried at OT....though he is starting. Wentz has been meh, WR Christian Watson, has been good when healthy. Just hasnt been able to stay healthy. Those are the top NDSU guys in the NFL.

problem is, I still have no clue who that might be at 22!!
I'm buying the Derrick Harmon hype and figure interior pressure is so rare and valuable that he would be BPA at 22. Also like hearing he's an Alpha type who commands respect from the entire Ducks team and coaches.
        truly ascending player imo.
Me either. Full of anticipation lol. Still trying to read our FO.

One thing I read about Ez is that he uses his arm length well, to keep NFL blockers off to help him in playing run defense beyond his weight class.

Big Bad Grant may well be the gallon of Gorilla Glue for our Minter defensive run wall, but he reportedly does have high pad level.

Hampton RB is wide zone...as is another TPB fav Jake Majors C.

These receivers-there may be a wider landscape than theorized in Hortiz's eyes...just draft talent.

Maybe Loveland, Arroyo, MTaylor or even late rounders such as Briningstool kills two birds with one stone.

Something...anything to take attention off Ladd.

There are many, many late round receiving/change of pace RBs...double dip.

Just a few opinions, whispers overheard.

And LOL, once again in '25, wu is reading diametrically opposing viewpoints from various RESPECTED pundits, on the exact same freakin' prospect.

          This is bullshit.

Zabel is not my favorite prospect. He is, however, very much a JH2 type of prospect: tough, athletic former tackle who's "a technician who brings controlled violence to every snap"(NFLDraftBuzz). He is smart and apparently great at picking up stunts and blitzes. While I doubt that Zabel is JH2's first choice, I'm willing to bet that he is in their 1st round cluster.

Sporting News' 15th mock draft for 2025 is expanded to seven rounds, with three of the 13 QBs selected going in the first round and a record-tying 15 players picked overall from Ohio State's national championship roster.

I think they are targeting TB Tahj Brooks. Not a burner but has decent speed at 4.52. ELITE short area quickness with decent size at 5’9 215 lbs and doesn’t go down easy. Texas Tech did not have a good OLine either. Reminds me of Frank Gore! Brooks is going to be a good RB in this league. Could be had in the 4th and maybe even 5th at this point.

We know this FO will not tip it’s cap in what direction they are going as far as drafting.

I enjoy reading the "experts" drafts that are posted on various sites. I love to see once we get into the 3, 4, 5th round who they focus on. Reuter just posted a 5 round mock a couple of days ago and here are his Charger picks.

                      1. Donovan Ezeiruaku Edge - Boston College. 6ft 2 248. He was one of Pete Schrager's combine studs.

                      2. Mason Taylor TE - LSU. 6-5 251. You have to figure that this game is not to big for him and that he will be uber prepared for the NFL with a HOF dad and uncle.

                      3. Trevor Etienne RB - Joja. 5-9 198. He ran a 4.42 40 and a 1.51 3 cone at the combine. He never really balled out at Joja IMHO. Not sure on this pick as we passed on Savion Williams, Tai Felton and Aeneas Peebles to name a few.

                      4. Ty Robinson DT - Nebraska. 6-5 288. He ran a 4.83 40 and a 1.71 3 cone. He seems quick and this is the part of the draft where I just don't know enough good, bad or indifferent about prospects.

                      5. Keandre Lambert-Smith WR - Auburn. 6-1 190 seems kind of pedestrian for a WR, but it is the 5th round after all. However he did run a 4.37 40 so there's that.

So file this under the "I don't know either" as we head toward the draft. I trust Joe implicitly and look forward to a great haul.

I dont know about targeting him...but I do like Brooks...good natural runner, great size and contact balance...tough...

Yeah, same here. Trying to figure out what they are going to vs what I would do. This is why I always circle back to a trench player @ 22 whether its IDL or IOL. I would love if they took Loveland or Hampton if they are there but I keep coming back to Grant/Zabel or an OT to convert to OG that I'm not thinking of. I'm just not good at projecting OTs to OGs.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!
