Yeah, same here. Trying to figure out what they are going to vs what I would do. This is why I always circle back to a trench player @ 22 whether its IDL or IOL. I would love if they took Loveland or Hampton if they are there but I keep coming back to Grant/Zabel or an OT to convert to OG that I'm not thinking of. I'm just not good at projecting OTs to OGs.

IMHO, it's most likely they are going to take and IDL in the 1st. They don't have the long-term center piece on the D-line to build around yet. This draft is so deep at IDL they could rebuild the whole IDL. They could take a NT like Grant in the first and find 2 DEs later in the draft. There is a lot of potential there.Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

The Chargers sitting at 22 (unless they trade up, which I am against for in the 1st round if they have to give up premium draft positions > 5th in 2025's) will know by then who the Raiders the Broncos have drafted. For instance if (BIG IF, as I think that Jeanty will fall to the Giants before the Raiders are on the clock) Jeanty to Raiders and then Hampton to Broncos happen, The Chargers want to make sure that the middle of that DL is bolstered because AFC-West will be a hell hole for those teams which are porous against the run. The Chiefs are the top dog in the Divi so it is what it is, meaning that containing Mahomes will still be the biggest challenge. Under these scenarios, I can see them having to go DL at that pick.
If none of those coveted runners fall to the divisional foes, I can see them easily get their other OL anchor with DL/DE and TE as the top three priorities, the order depending on how the draft shapes up for the 2 teams which we will have to beat and to have a winning record against to remain competitive in 2025.

As I look at his team, we do not have “needs,” only “ wants.” And there’s so many ways to go in the first I expect them to take whoever falls. BPA. Looking at the players rated in the teens, that could be Loveland, or an ED, or a WR or even a DB or an IDL. It’s impossible to logically guess the Bolts pick this year. We could take any position and be better for it.Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

The oline is nowhere near completed. They have no IOL under contract in the next 2 years. With that said, they are not going to take an IOL in the 1st just to take one. He is going to have to be graded higher than the other players.
