agree that we struggle to develop Oline talent, and.... think we need a new Oline coach before a new GM.

yes to drafting an OT, and yes to Lamp as a RT/swing candidate there.

and don't think an MLB is an imperative, 'specially given how oft we're in a 4-2-5, and guessin' we could wait 'til day three for a LB.... (just) has to beat out Pullard.

question is who is the Braden Smith (Nate Davis)/Kemoko Turay (Darrell Taylor) out of this year's draft ??

and don't think we go FA/vet OT, albeit wouldn't mind a FA FS (Eric Reid), and.... think Addae takes over for AP in the dime package ??

far as a S/LB hybrid, how 'bout Nate Hall ?? and yes to both a DT and OG (Alex Bars is a Notre Dame team captain).

and FS Deiontae Thompson is dropping.... could we nab him day two, or would we prefer/wait on Chris Johnson as a day three developmental prospect ??

and will be surprised if we come out of the draft w/a DE, albeit do like WR John Ursua w/one of our seventh rounders.

and doubt we come away w/a CB in this draft, albeit again wouldn't be surprised if we dipped into the IOL talent pool at some point.

think Drew Lock is a cautionary tale, sort of a Jay Cutleresque/lite proposition, and.... agree, not so sure there's a good 2020 QB prospect for the Chargers, and.... no to Foles, thank you.

yes to TE (Josh Oliver ?), and far as the Shrine Game watch list.... think 'twould be wise to keep an eye on DT Daniel Wise and OLB Justin Hollins.
RT Taliese Fuaga, DT Jer'Zhan Newton, NT T'Vondre Sweat, LB Cedric Gray, TE Ben Sinnott, RB Daijun Edwards, FS Cole Bishop, QB Joe Milton

The poor play of our LBs is arguably why NE beat us. Very much a priority, along with keeping Luiget, everybody seems to be that much better when he plays, not super splashy just good.

Among other things. We didn't blitz Brady at all and played soft zone the whole first half which Brady kills with those short routes.
but yes, Emanuel and Pullard just don't cut it in.

              Olisaemeka Udoh | Tackle
              Team: Elon Phoenix
              Age / DOB: (21) / 2/4/1997

Elon redshirt senior OL Olisaemeka Udoh accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.
Huge spot for the 6-foot-5, 336-pound Udoh, here, as he's considered one of the top FCS draft prospects on the offensive line. The Shrine Game can serve as a springboard for small-school pro hopefuls such as himself. While he has been plying his trade as a tackle at Elon, Hero Sports' Sam Herder sees him as a likely guard at the NFL level. The all-conference standout has accepted an invitation to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in addition to the Shrine Game as he looks to boost his profile. Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline views Udoh as a raw developmental prospect who could see a late Day 3 selection if the process breaks right for him
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

                Ryan Pope | Tackle

                Team: San Diego State Aztecs
                Age / DOB: (22) / 10/17/1996
                Ht / Wt: 6'7" / 315
San Diego State redshirt senior T Ryan Pope accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.
Pope (6'7/315) has been a big part of the Aztecs' run game since he came to the school from Long Beach City College, helping San Diego State become one of the best rushing teams in the country. He's seen as a mauler who plays with a bit of a mean streak, but he'll need to show he can handle the pass-rushing duties that a bookend will see in the NFL. The Shrine Game will be a good -- if not perfect -- test to see what he can do

                  2. NASIR ADDERLEY, CB - DELAWARE

2019 PROJECTION: Rated No. 14 cornerback by NFLDraftScout - The No. 14 CB taken went in the 4th round this year.
2017 STATS: Finished with 78 tackles and had a team-high 42 solo tackles. Adderley added five interceptions, which he returned for a total of 135 yards.

There is no better way to describe Adderley than as a human highlight reel. He can cover, he can hit and he can make plays with the ball in his hand. Adderley is entering his fourth season as a starting cornerback. He finished second on the team last year with 78 tackles and had a team-high 42 solo tackles. Adderley added five interceptions, which he returned for a total of 135 yards, and two forced fumbles. He channeled his inner Odell Beckham Jr. on one interception and made it on SportsCenter's Top Plays.

                  NAME: Nasir Adderley

                  SCHOOL: Delaware

                  CONFERENCE: FCS

                  POSITION: Safety

                  CLASS: Senior

                  JERSEY: No. 23

                  RECRUITMENT RATING: 2-star

                  HT: 5-11

                  WT: 200 lbs

                  D.O.B.: 5/31/1997

Outrageously physical taking on blocks. Feels cracks coming and will take receivers apart if they challenge him physically. Stood up an offensive lineman and rocked the world of two tight ends when Delaware playing North Dakota State, despite his team getting blown out. Will fly up to the edge and turn runs back inside by blowing up the perimeter blocker. Uses his hands to shed, but also knows when to lower a shoulder and leverage a gap with some knock-back. Terrific timing to trigger downhill in run support, never hesitates to get in on a gang tackle. Takes mostly good angles to the ball, occasionally slightly aggressive in his pursuit to the perimeter.

The more I watched, the more impressed I was. Consistently recognizes key offensive concepts and drives on them right away. Plays instinctive and trusts his reads. Can tell he recognizes certain things from film study, especially receiver screen concepts. As a middle of the field zone defender, made life miserable at catch point for receivers with his ability to recognize patterns developing and drive on the ball.

Extremely physical and hard-nosed with an elite competitive motor. Played his heart out in a blowout loss to North Dakota State, chasing down every play from all over the field. Relentless competitor who does not back down from anyone and plays with excellent conditioning. Has made some of the best hustle plays in college football over the past couple seasons, including this

Hitting 200 pounds will be key for him at the Senior Bowl/Combine, but plays like a linebacker at whatever his current weight is. Play strength is a huge positive in his eval, arms appear to be decently long as well. Looks like an outstanding athlete amongst FCS level competition, but Combine testing will reveal all.

                  Physicality/Closing Burst

Man Coverage (due to heavy deep safety usage last two years)

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

and wondering who the Chargers brass prefers.... the oversized Daylon Mack @6'1" 335 or a Daniel Wise an inch taller and under 300#s ??

Justin Hollins is another intriguing guy that is under the radar but has really good tape. Could be a mid round steal.
