would gladly take Coney as our good/great value, round five backup ILB/SAM/OTTO.... no thank you to Tranquill's two ACL surgeries, albeit have been intrigued by his intangibles.... would be interested in him as an UDFA only.

ninja, Dane Brugler posted his rankings of DTs today.
He has your guy Jeffery Simmons just a notch below Quinnen.
The ACL will drop Simmons 15-30 spots says Brugler.
That puts him in play, possibly, at 28.
Most of Simmons high grade comes from elite strength and athleticism.
There are some technique and refinement issues...very high ceiling.
Simmons has been an Academic All American for a while now.
He has great remorse, saying he lost it in defending his family.
Hmmm, Mebane or whoever on a one year deal + Simmons at 28 ?
How about Simmons at 60 ?
wisdom of wu.We do not play modern football.

His teammate Tevon Coney might be a better prospect for us because he is a true Mike LB, although his lack of natural coverage traits makes him look less and less like and every down player.

I loved Hurst. He was my #7 overall and mocked to us in round 1. He had a solid rook season for the rattruds.
Simmons is a fucking monster!
He is more physically gifted than either Fletcher Cox or Chris Jones coming out. All MSST alumni. His has some technique/fundamentals that are minor issues but very coachable. My 2021 Adopt-A-Bolt List
