I still like Hayward's job performance.

Yes we now have the pieces gusD needs.

The final 2019 NFL Draft grades for all 32 teams

9 The Broncos, Jaguars, and Washington were big winners. The same can't be said for the Giants and Raiders.

By Dan Kadar Apr 28, 2019, 7:00am EDT

    Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers went in with one of the NFL's most talented defenses. They exited with an even more talented defense. In the first round, Los Angeles got Notre Dame defensive lineman Jerry Tillery, a big body with impressive movement skills. One of the best value and system fit picks in the entire draft was the Chargers getting Delaware safety Nasir Adderley with the No. 60 pick. They like versatile defensive backs, and he's the perfect foil for budding superstar Derwin James.

The odd move was waiting on an offensive tackle. At No. 91, the Chargers took Trey Pipkins, a developmental prospect. The Chargers needed a sure thing.

Notre Dame linebacker Drue Tranquill has good range and gives them a nice backup and special teams player. Easton Stick is a decent backup quarterback.

    Grade: C+

Chargers: Picking Jerry Tillery and Nasir Adderley give Anthony Lynn and the Chargers the chance to go into the regular season with the best on-paper defense in football. The Chargers seem like the perfect destination for Tillery, a talent that some may not have understood.

I still don't believe it. Posey is a niners fans and is signed up to many social media affiliates like ours, Arizona, Niiners, etc....and looks like he just likes to throw things out there to get recognition

Tranquill had 89 tackles last year. Thats not bad versus the run, but hes definitely not a downhill thumper.

So he is guessing. TT said in his post presser that losing Emanual and in general they wanted some LBs. Didn't me tion by name who will paly SAM but I don't think it's Tranquill though he did say he has played them all.
So adding Davis we got three and I think Tranquill will eventually take Phillips spot in 2020.

As for Tranquill, we'll see what happens with him against the run. Maybe he can beef up more or learn from the current guys. Reading more about him, he has the Weddle level smarts. If he's a good tackler, he can overcome being run over.
I'm not sure that's possible without failing some piss tests. Dude is jacked

Yeah, Tranquill is strong vs pass,
    and weak vs run.

This draft tells me that we are set at CB, with plenty of length there, and that we are confident with Lamp moving forward. My latest guess is that he starts at ORT.

Of course it all remains to be seen, but Forrest was moving quite well during recent ladder drills.

Xenos, are you happier with our depth now ? I am.

    We play modern defensive football...
