the proof was the 2 pathetic back up QB's we signed the previous year, who could not throw a lick..... and even struggled with not fumbling the snap...... if AL wanted a passing QB, he would have signed Fitz or another vet passer...... this year we wasted a 5th round pick on a QB who does not throw well but runs well like as RB....... he could have been in our RB rotation.....
look at the redzone play calling...... always runs or short passes usually caught outside of end zone...... look at how many times we ran 3 or 4 times from the one just because coach thinks we either will run for the TD or not get the TD at all..... or stupidly let time run out like we did against TEN..... that is all on Lynn..... and Gordon is horrible goal line back because he fumbles or dives aiming "at" the goal line instead of diving at a point "beyond" the goal line..... AL is obsessed with running the ball in our passing league.....
- does AL sign all players? Do John jr and TT just step aside and let AL pick all players he wants, including Stick? Did TT want to sign Fitz and AL vetoed him? I doubt that
- is handing off to your 1st Rdr Feature RB at the 1 such a unique play call, it signifies some deeper meaning? Does AL even call those plays?
- If LAC runs a pass play inside the RZ and some routes are into the EZ and others are not, and Phil checks it down - does that mean AL hates throwing the ball into the EZ and ergo he really wants a running QB? How do these things all connect?
- is AL the first coach to want a balanced run-pass attack? Did LAC actually run A lot more than they pass by some measure different than the league at large, or did they actually run less than many teams?
- Is it desirable / effective to have a offense that can pass but is unable to run the ball? Isn’t that what LAC had for several years, going nowhere?
- is Tyrod a running QB? A bit but not really. Was Cardale Or Geno? No.
And I’ll end my question list with ...
- isn’t the assumption he WAS a RB coach so therefore he can only want a running QB demeaning and insultingly simple? Is it a diminishment of his intelligence or ability to presume that because he was a RB coach, he can’t think in any other mode or concept now he is HC?
I think he wants a mobile QB that adds a dimension, especially after watching for years his QB unable to stumble to the gatoraid table and get a drink. I think every HC wants that now if there’s the option. I don’t translate that into he cares more about a QB running than passing. I also dont presume he wants an option spread RPO running QB who is going to wildcat and pitch the ball all day long.
If anyone can show me where he’s said this, or anything like this, I’d welcome my continued education. I clearly have a lot to learn from y’all.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

OK dmac...good stuff.
I say study BUF tape from when AL was there.
I saw blocking like what we have tried to do.
Eric Wood and Ritchie Incognito were key components.
Better health Chargers IOL.
I am looking for effective running, from RBs & Tyrod, play action (very helpful to Oline), and a much better TD/turnover ratio.
Remember how AL said we have to take care of the football ?
That's Rivers proclaiming he don't care about stats,
and Tyrod showing the world that he does not turn over the football, in an unprecedented manner.
Don't laugh if we draft DeAndre Swift...shades of Shady (BUF & PHIL),
and flashes of LT (our GOAT.)We play modern Harball.

Lynn calls the need for QB mobility "effective movement"
Adds another layer to offense.
Instead of solely a pocket passer.
Mobility to extend the play.
And gameplan can include rollouts and bootlegs for the opponent to defend as well.
Lynn wants a passer with mobility who protects the rock and moves the chains. Not a runner with an arm.
Who has it better than us?
