I think Gurley would have to get some very bad news from the doctor to fall all the way to the 55 th pick.Reports are he feels highly highly disrespected that it isn't a longer-term deal.Originally posted by bonehead View PostGood....he'll probably only sign a one year deal until he sees if the Bolts are moving to LA or not.

He will go before 17 IMO now that he seems on track to be able to start the season.Go Rivers!

Perhaps Miami. Also depends on what Minny does with AP. Houston may also take a long hard look at Gurley given the annual injury woes of Foster. It will be an interesting draft for sure.Originally posted by Stinky Wizzleteats+ View PostHe will go before 17 IMO now that he seems on track to be able to start the season.

Plenty of good RB's and players have come back from ACL injuries, and in his case, there wasn't further knee damage. The ACL injury doesn't concern me- its whether he'll be available for Week 1. If he is.. Gurley is possibly a top 10 player in this draft.Originally posted by Engine Engine Number 420 View PostStill not liking the idea of using our first pick on a talented running back coming back from an injury. Can't we get a good player without injury issues.

Todd McShay released his most recent mock draft and has Leonard Williams slipping to 7 and Todd Gurley rising to 6.
Todd McShay released his most recent mock draft and the top 2 s********s remain the same with Jameis Winston heading to Tampa Bay and Marcus Mariota selected with the 2nd s********. The Mariota s******** mentions the possibility of the Philadelphia Eagles or the San Diego Chargers sliding into that spot to take Mariota. McShay likely wouldn’t put Mariota in the 2nd spot if he made the actual pick for the Titans though.
Those top 2 s********s have been the same for the last couple of weeks, we just start to notice a certain player starting to slide down the board and a running back jumping way up on the board in the next few s********s. Here is how the next few s********s play out.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars – DE Dante Fowler Jr, Florida
4. Oakland Raiders – WR Amari Cooper, Alabama
5. Washington Redskins – LB Shane Ray, Missouri
6. New York Jets – RB Todd Gurley, Georgia
7. Chicago Bears – DE Leonard Williams, USC
McShay has Todd Gurley going in the top 10 of the draft and he is going higher than Leonard Williams. The lowest that we have seen Williams slide in the draft in the past has been to the 4th spot and now he is down to the 7th with the Chicago Bears. I am sure that the Bears would love to have him on their roster, but he won’t slide that far down.
Williams is a beast and it would be difficult to see him sliding that far down in the draft with some of those other players taken before him. If Williams were on the Bears, he would get to work with Jared Allen on that defense and they would put terror in the opposing quarterback’s eyes. He would be a monster on that defense and he would make everyone around him better. Jon Bostic and Shea McClellin would love having him work in front of them.
As far as Gurley, the last time a running back was taken in the top 10 was Trent Richardson with the Cleveland Browns. That was a massive fail and the league has skipped taking running backs in the first round since that time. The league has been leaning on the passing game more and the value at running back has started to decrease. Could we see teams look to run the game more now? Gurley has been talked about as the best prospect coming out of college since Adrian Peterson. If he becomes that type of player, then he will be well worth the top 10 s********. Will he be that good though? Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

This draft is whack. The need at RB is obvious, but I'm not sold that you need to pick one at #17. However, I think there will be fan meltdown if Gurley and Gordon are available when the Chargers pick, and they pass on both, taking Randy Gregory or DGB.
