You are making a good point about the OT's in this draft, they may be good prospects and have potential but they may not be ready to start as rookies and not all may ver successful..... Brown is a skilled experienced pro bowl quality vet who already knows how to play the position and my guess is KC will find a way to lock him up long term.....
Yep. That's just the nature of draft picks... you never know, until you know. Of the first 4 OT's taken last year, the worst of them all (Thomas) was the first taken. And he was consensus #1 (here on TPB and professional pundits). Now, is Thomas a bust...? Probably not... probably just a tough time adjusting to the NFL. The NFL ain't easy. Not everyone is built for the NFL. Mostly, NFL OT's are physical marvels... they just don't make humans like that. Even the best have adjustments to make. Usually 2nd and 3rd round OT's don't make it in this league. Every once in a while a guy will slip through (Brown or Armstead). Most get chewed up and spat out 4 years later... or depth.

I think I'd rather roll the dice on Fisher.

It’s good news if he sucks and doesn’t fit their scheme. Reid hasn’t made mistakes too often on offense, it’s been mostly on the defensive side. But there’s a first time for everything.

They are going to have to make some tough roster decisions soon so they better make a deep playoff run this year (which I expect).
They’ll probably end up cutting or restructuring guys like Frank Clark and Matthieu to make room again next year. They can probably get away with it in the short term but not if they keep trading away their picks.

            Little/Radunz/DB at 31

            Works for me.

Dont think Radunz or Little make it past 40.

Chiefs received Z2 (only 1 yr left on contract), #58 (only have #63) in top 140 picks, and 2022 6th.

By your logic #58 is basically just a 3rd rounder.
So who got the better deal?
BAL's 2022 5th we'll assume is the middle pick, same for KC's 6th rounder for simplicity. The net value for BAL is = 24

                Using the trade value charts, the Ravens get #31 ( 600), #94 (124) #136 (38) + 24 (net 2022 picks) = 786
                Chiefs get #58 (320) + Brown

                So Brown is worth = 786- 320 = 466

That is pick #44 on the trade value chart or a mid 2nd rounder (12th pick in 2nd ).

It looks like a fair trade for both teams numerically. A pro bowler for a 2nd rnd pick maybe an edge to KC in real terms though.

It looks like BAL is going to sign Ali Villanueva so it looks another FA option gone and Telesco is all in on the draft.

Now I am in reading in ROTO Telesco is also enamored w Trey Pipkins so I hope they aren't thinking he is the answer & maybe just a smokescreen before the draft.

He can still improve. He could get to where Sam Tevi got if he puts in the effort.

But yeah, we need that legit guy at LT. I wouldn't mind giving Eric Fisher a shot.

                          • Second round – No. 58 overall
                          • Second round – No. 63
                          • Fourth round – No. 145
                          • Fifth round – No. 176
                          • Fifth round – No. 182
                          • Sixth round – No. 208

Slim pickings on KC's picks. They better hope not to get injuries galore which when we look back in NFL trending history, the losing SB team tends to have key injuries the following season. Gonna be interesting how Mahommes holds up this year.
