Black hired as the skipper of Washington. Ironically, he beat out Dusty Baker for the job, same guy he beat out in San Diego.

That would kill me, but based on how I saw him manage the Pads I doubt it. He wasn't as good as Bochy, who actually had us consistently in the playoffs when ownership gave him something to work with.

Wow, I didn't see that coming! I always liked Dusty as a manager, even though he couldn't ultimately get it done in SF. He always seemed to have them in contention though. In the 90s there was Torre, Cox, Pinella, Baker, Alou, and Bochy that I felt were the best.
