Okay, I just did (looked at both Rizzo's and Gallo's minor league numbers).

Looks like Gallo needs more seasoning in triple AAA. Now might be the time to go get him while there's still some doubt he can avoid striking out 300 times a season in the major leagues.

He was just sent down after a spring where he K'd 9 times in 35 AB's, so roughly 25% (He also had 3 bombs, 7 RBI, 6 BB and OPS of 1.036). Admittedly small sample, but if you project it over, say, 500 AB's he comes in at around 125 K's. Kris Bryant had 199 last year which was the 8th most K's in a single season in baseball history. You would have to go beyond 500th most in MLB history to find 125. Baseball Reference only goes to 500.

He's real close. On our club he's an every day starter.

Cashner/Norris looked great against the Rangers today. Maybe that helps us get one of those stud prospects.

It would be something to have an infield of Gallo, Guerra, Spangy (although I'm still hopeful we acquire an every day 2B that is at least better defensively) , Myers, and Hedges some day. I wonder if Pittsburgh wouldn't deal Alen Hanson (2B/SS) for SP Dinelson Lamet or someone like that. Seems fair.

Any one of those 3 of Gallo, Brinson or Mazara would be a no brainer. Any one of those 3 instantly becomes our best prospect. I think all 3 are top 20 prospects.

Even though I love Guerra I have to agree with that statement. I really like that Guerra is so instinctive at SS along with his cannon arm. Hoping Preller can get Gallo. Mazaro would be awesome too. I like left-handed hitters.
