No because i think the beauty of the Chargers board is that it has always been sort of a free for all. OT and whatever. But right now theres many Padres fans that dont have a forum. Since the Padres are in a way affiliated with the Chargers i just felt it made sense to give them a place to build up a new community.

I'm not a Pad fan, but I agree with you. Makes more sense from a community standpoint as well.

Personally dont think it will ever take off. But if posters want a modded forum with a good VBulletin software package and power to keep from timing out they can do it. Ill discuss it with Captain.

I'm content with an OT: Padres thread like we used for the NBA this past season (well particularly lakers it seemed). No need to have multiple threads IMO.

What about a Padres Forum that exists like the "Hot off the Wire" or "The End Zone".

I think it has potential to bring people to the overall forum as well as bring them into this Chargers forum

If the point is to generate more traffic than it makes sense. I have no clue what goes into making the subforum, but if it doesn't take any effort, go for it imo. Worst scenario is that it just isn't used (like the 30+ other sub forums on the old board).

I dont think it would hurt anyone TBF. Make it the old Brown and yellow colors with a sweet banner. Maybe over time it would fill out.
