That was a kick in the gut, Wood should have done more and instead El Tri got the equalizer. Pulisic really should have got that shot off earlier near the end there and El Tri should have been down to 10 men in the first two minutes.

Azteca isn't nearly as scary as made out, most attending are well to do and even a lot of the players themselves are now coming in from Europe and suffering at elevation the same way we do. Had a chance to end that stupid streak with Bradley and Pulisic at the end. Still, completely agree, US was playing for a point. If giving up possession to keep shape the entire second half wasn't proof enough, 40 seconds in between throw ins and Guzan lying on the ball for a minute was a pretty dead giveaway.

On to the knockout round in the Gold Cup... and glad they don't play the Ticos first. Arena better have his team practicing PKs, as Dwyer and Corona weak kicks almost blew it. Nice that Hamid had the clean sheet as well... Guzan isn't the answer.

A nervy win to get into the Gold Cup final..2-0 over Los Ticos. Clint Dempsey finally came in late, then a perfect pass to a streaking Josy Altidore, who ran and flexed topless in front of the CRC bench, and then scored on a curving free kick to tie Landon Donovan for the all-time USMNT goal scorer.

Howard was spectacular in goal.
