    Philip Rivers and birth control...

    20. Congrats to Philip Rivers. He's expecting his seventh child this fall, and I hope he finds the happiness on the field that he does at home. He deserves it. Rivers is a terrific quarterback who struggled the past two seasons, mostly because the Chargers didn't protect him with a left tackle or running game. Plus, they've been subtracting playmakers for years, with none more damaging than the loss of Darren Sproles. I don't see a lot of talent around Rivers this fall, but maybe offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt can do for him what he did with Kurt Warner in Arizona. One difference: He had Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin.

classic. WR is the deepest group of talent on the team and the writer singles THAT out as a weakness for Rivers?

He used to know all of their names until McCoy came in and changed the terminology.

At least Rivers is married to his kids' mother.

Yeah, but adjustments are now being made based on the individual child's needs, whereas before Nrov was forcing them all into the same routines.

Heh very true. I will admit that having a huge family is pretty fun. On my mom's side there were 7 kids. On my Dad's grandmother's side there were 9. It has made for many, many aunts/uncles/cousins. If you have the resources to have a large family and the time to dedicate to them, I see it as a positive. I do think it's exceedingly rare in this day and age though with the associated cost and the high rate of divorce. In Rivers case he married his high school sweetheart though, so I guess he must know her well after all these years.

Philip Rivers told us after the int. against the Bucs, he arrived home to have 1 of his young ones ask him why he threw it to that man....

Nice to see the kid giving his dad shit.

Well, with all these kids I think I know why Rivers can't keep a grip on the ball. As they say, practice makes perfect.

I just worry about his sleep. He keeps popping them out when the season starts. Hope he stays in the guest house with all these noisy fuck trophies running around through the night.
