Even if Mathews has a monster second half it will only drive up his price even more.

Absolutely not worth it. Rather use that money on an OL or defensive front 7 player. Do we even have a legit MLB on the roster this year? This is a no brainer IMO.

We are more than fine next year with BO, Woody, Brown and/or a draftee.
