The Bolts get a little bit of a break on an early game in the Eastern Time Zone. Standard time starts Sunday morning so they get an extra hour. Doubt that will affect the spread much.

Tannehill goes deep on consecutive plays

Posted by Mike Florio on October 27, 2014, 2:50 PM EDT

      AP
For most quarterbacks, it’s barely noteworthy. For Ryan Tannehill of the Dolphins, it’s a big deal because it rarely happens.

As noted by Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the third-year pass-thrower threw two deep passes on back-to-back plays in Sunday’s 27-13 win over the Jaguars.

It happened in the third quarters, with both balls directed to receiver Mike Wallace. He caught one, for a 50-yard gain.

Tannehill has shied away from throwing the ball deep, and offensive coordinator Bill Lazor in turn hasn’t dialed up many plays that call for it. Which made it odd, to say the least, to have two of them in a row.

Even with the 50-yard bomb, Tannehill still threw for fewer than 200 yards. Removing that play from the equation, and he averaged a paltry 5.2 yards per attempt.

Sure, the Dolphins still won easily. But they’ll need more from Tannehill if they’re going to make a serious run at the postseason.
      Go Rivers!

I said. But it seems like a 'correction' was made.

Lol - the only player on the team aside from Rivers that can affect the spread!

Listening to some Miami radio guy on the radio and the team is pretty confident about beating the Chargers this week.

Unless this team gets guys HEALTHY - not just back in uniform - he has every reason to be confident.

They should be confident. All the pregame intangibles are going their way.

This game is the pivot point of our whole season and with the way that Miami defense is playing it is going to be very tough (not to mention our history there). We may very well look back on this game as the biggest win/loss of the season. Man, I hope we are not flat like we usually are in Miami, but to get up for one game in 23 days is going to be mentally tough for sure. It just has a big fat egg smeared all over it...

Props to BoltX for calling it 10 days ago. And now, as then, I agree. THIS is a MUST WIN game. No ifs, ands, or Salma Hayek butts about it. If we limp into the BYE at 5-4, we've dug ourselves a nice big hole to try and dig ourselves out of. I guess I shouldn't be surprised: When has it ever been EASY to be a Charger fan?

Why do you think it will be mentally tough to get up for this game? It will only be 10 days since our previous game as the bye week hasn't happened yet.
