Imagine that, We would be Super Bowl bound for sure
it won't matter who the OC is if we don't radically upgrade the OL talent and have a near injury free team for a change.

Greg Roman was the OC for the 49ers, he'll be looking for work. I know their offense was out of whack
this year but up till now it was pretty good. It was also a run first type system that I think McCoy really
      wants.
They spent time together in Carolina on that coaching staff.

Marc Trestman failed with cutlet, but he might be a good replacement if he doesn't go back up to Canada.

The Bills find themselves in need of a new head coach to start the new year and initial speculation is centered on one of the team's former quarterbacks.

Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reports that Chargers offensive coordinator Frank Reich is the “top target” as Buffalo looks to replace Doug Marrone after Marrone opted out of his contract on Wednesday. That belief is tied to the expected return of Bill Polian to the organization because Reich played or coached for Polian-run teams in Buffalo, Carolina and Indianapolis.

Andre Reed, one of Reich’s former teammates, would like to see him back with the Bills and thinks the hiring would be a popular one with Bills fans.

“He’s definitely a viable candidate. I think he would do a great job. Not only would he bring a lot of credibility, but Bills fans would probably — the roof would probably come off if he came in there and became the head coach,” Reed said, via NFL Media. “I’m definitely a proponent of him being the head coach there, if that’s the way and that’s what goes down.”

Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco spoke to the media Wednesday before news of Marrone’s departure broke, but Reich had already been in mix for openings around the league so Telesco did address the possibility that the Chargers would lose an offensive coordinator to a head coaching job for the second straight year.

“I think Frank, in his first year, did a very good job,” Telesco said, via U-T San Diego. “He’s smart. He’s detailed. He’s prepared for this for a long time. He’s a great teacher, a great communicator, and he can really handle a room as far as handling the offense. He did an excellent job, and I’m not surprised that some teams would have interest in him. But selfishly, I hope he stays here.”

so he's NOrv- except without all the actual years of experience running good NFL offenses and the Super Bowl rings?

While Frank Reich looms as a top candidate for the Bills, he will also interview for the #Jets — who are interested in Doug Marrone too

No thanks - his offense put up worse numbers than our offense did. And my wife saw him on TV and said "That coach looks like a child molester".

Thank god the Bills are dumb enough to hire this loser away from us. I have a feeling the praise from telesco is just lip service. How much are the chargers saving by not having to fire him directly?

If he is serious with his praise, again, I am glad our hand is being forced here. Good riddance.

He could very well be a good HC. And seemed to be an excellent QB Coach.

Just not a good OC. At least not so far.

Nope, I do not. Been a Charger since 1978 when I was 8, and I'm hoping for Reich to get another shot with us. I believe he will learn from the mistakes he's made in his first year when his offense missed it's two top RBs and a top WR for either a significant amount of the season or during a critical part of the schedule. In addition to an OL that played at least 5 centers, a RT in a sophomore slump and whose QB, whose is tougher than most, was injured for the last 1/3 of the season. With all that, one win way away from another playoff appearance.

So, no, I don't think one season is enough to make a fair assessment of his performance. I'd like for him to be given another shot.

But having differences of opinion is part of human nature, isn't it?
Well.. you can at least see the croutons in the dark.
