First time I’ve seen that video seems to have some toughness too.

    Herbert likes him too.

He will be good with Guyton - need to get Hill and Reed some play

so this talk of Waddle, Chase or Smith - forget it

Right...the emergence of Johnson and Guyton makes wideout much less of a PON...and yes, Hill and Reed have yet to get hardly any looks at wideout...hopefully at least one of them emerges as a decent backup...

I meant to write OC - Center not OD - whatever that position is

He and Guyton have shown up much better than Joe Reed and KJ Hill.

TT has not done well, other than drafting in the top 10.

If TT gets blamed for Hill and Reed doing little, then shouldn't he also get credit for bringing in Guyton and Johnson? Does it really matter how we got players (draft/UDFA/FA) or just that we got players?

Getting players that can stay on the field is a valid concern.

I just wonder if there is a disconnenct between the type of player Telesco drafts and the coaching staff. Joe Reed - I thought was a solid pick

Hard to tell. Did we just not pick a good player? Is the coaching staff not developing him? Are his injuries worse than they let on? Is he just not picking things up fast? I suspect the last but we don't really know.

I think we need speed therefore Guyton and Johnson. Not sure whats going on with Reed and his development. So far our picks outside of the 3rd round have not been anything special. Our last good pick there was King and we saw how that ended. LOL!

Johnson had 6 catches yesterday for 55 yards and that one TD. A 9.2 avg. He outgained KA in receiving yardage. This is so encouraging, the Bolts need to develop quality depth at WR. It is so important. If you look at the most successful offenses in the league, their QBs have a lot of receiving depth to work with, not just one WR, TE & RB as targets. Their 3rd and 4th WRs have a few catches every game, and they have multiple TEs producing as well. The Chargers need to develop this for Herbert.

Fair point. But I guess you'd hope your draft picks would be outperforming your UDFA signings.

                          But I understand.
