What Young QB (Besides Mahomes) Would You Rather Have Than Justin Herbert?

I've seen enough in 3 games to think that Herbert is soon going to be the best young QB in the league, other than Mahomes. He's doing all of this with a swiss cheese offense line, an inconsistent running game, and a slew of unproven receivers other than Keenan. And other than the Carolina game, he's gone up against Mahomes and Brady. Besides Mahomes, who would you rather have as a young QB? Burrow is good, but Herbert is better. Wentz? Goff? Watson? Murray? Mayfield? Jackson? Prescott? Lock? Maybe Russell Wilson, if you consider him young. Maybe not. Just imagine if he had a good head coach, a defense that didn't fold in crucial situations, and a consistent running game.

Herbert had some good newb on newb chemistry with receivers. The passing offense was good, the running offense got totally stopped. 48 yds. 2 yds. per carry.
I got tired watching runs up the middle into a brick wall.

Ya, Burrow put up good passing numbers today in a win....with over 300 yards rushing for his team.

Think the Chargers would have won with 300 yards rushing today?

Shades of the game AP and the Vikes had against the Chargers way back.

Not to nitpick, but the Browns had over 300 yards rushing today. The Bengals “only” had 205.

Looking at Josh Allen in Buff so far this season, I think that is what we are going to see from Herbert, but I think Herbert is going to get to that level much quicker than Allen. To answer the question. There is no other young QB I would rather have.

The Bengals didn't have over 300 yards rushing today. The Browns did against Dallas.
The Bengals did have around 200 though.

Philip Rivers says Damgummit, that would of been nice.
Instead he had Lynn,McCoy and Norv, tons of defensive collapses and some of the worst OLs in franchise history.

Just hope Chargers management can learn from errors in the past. Don't make the Rivers mistake again. Build a strong O-line and protect this guy. He doesn't need three Keenan Allen level receivers. Love Mike Williams but the rookies today produced similarly. That MW pick could have been O-line.

Never draft a first round running back again, thanks Mel Kiper.

Go for depth over one higher paid player who is not at that level anymore. Rather have two $7.5M d-lineman then Ingram at $15 with his age and injuries next year.

Play the players who have shown talent, ********Desmond King and Forest Lamp************* , if King is a Cancer then get rid of him like Belichick would. If not play him. Tired of Lynn saying he's dealing with it.

Lynn needs to stop playing favorites too. If fans see it just wonder what players say behind closed doors. He needs to latch onto the Herbert bandwagon quick before he looks like a fool. That kid has already has shown enough to get a coach fired if he stood up against him. Good for Lynn's sake Herbie is way to professional to ever do such a thing.
