my question remains valid for every Lynn defenderOriginally posted by NoMoreChillies View Postgetting the ball with 4:37 left in 4th, driving down the field with multiple chances to score game winning TD and not giving the other team the ball = bad clock management? not buying it
yes Lynn wasted 20 seconds getting clarification from the refs. Lets not throw out all the good plays in the drive over 20seconds, what about the agressive 4th and 1 option playcall...
Lynn made a mistake
Williams made a mistake
Parham made a mistake
Hill made a mistake
Badgely made a mistake
why we focus on Lynn only? Focus on the good stuff and accept this team is just not that good. Its a hard pill to swallow.
What are you waiting for?
At what point do you say, it’s time to replace coach Lynn?
its an important question for everyone who isn’t already convinced that he should be replaced, to answer honestly to themselves at first and then share with the rest of us"The best defense is more offense."

when a team continues to lose the way this team loses, the coaches pay the price. Lynn is not putting his team in the best position to win. I'll say it ad nauseum. From poor player evaluation to lack of adjustments to bad clock management. These are coaching issues. Coaches must have a hand at quality control. These players continue to make key mistakes in games. The whole aura of the team is one of a loser mentality.

You act like the other teams we play have all their starters healthy.Originally posted by Critty View Post
Lol.
Seriously. I must be watching a different game.
I saw a team with 8 starters missing compete and again have plenty of opportunities to win.
Exactly what play does Lynn replacement call so that Badgely makes his kick. So Hill doesn't muff. So Bosa plays today.
So Bulaga and Turner play up to their contracts.
What play or coaching does the next guy do that has Williams making the catch for TD vs Broncos vs Raiders.
Don't give me a name of a new coach or just say Lynn sucks.
Give me the call. Or is it as simple as call the make your FG play. Don't call the miss it play.
Well Damn ...why didn't Lynn think of that...he keeps calling the drop the punt, miss the kick, drop the game winning TD plays. Yep. He sucks. Why does he even have the drop the ball plays in his playbook to begin with. Doesnt he know they are supposed vto catch it.
But seriously what exactly would a new coach do to correct some of the human error that is costing these games.
You do know winning in NFL with a rookie QB and 8 starters missing and FG kicker having a poor year is probably not a great recipe for success.
By the way. I loved Rivers. But I had no issue criticizing him when he has 20 interception and some very inexplicably bad ones, late in games.
Rivers isn't exactly lighting it up with the top offensive line in the league. 10TDs and 7 interception.
The Raiders had at least 6 starters out including both their OTs and OG Incognito. We had one sack by Tillery and none by InvisiMel....who many here still want to keep.
Last week the Raiders had a couple more more guys missing last week and didn't give up a TD to the Browns on the road and they now have 5 wins. We have 2.
SF has 4 wins and they are ravaged ny injuries.
Atlanta started 0-5 , fired their HC and are now 3-1 since then. I'm sure they had fans that wanted to keep Quinn as well because he had a couple good seasons for them. One real good season and blew a 28 point lead in the SB and has gone downhill since.
But by all means, put your head in the sand. A coaching change couldn't possibly be better.
Just ask the Atlanta owner if he regrets his decision.

Actually, I'm not making that argument at all, just an observation of hopeful fans/fellow masochists. I think Lynn is a goner. Maybe he's done after week 10, the original bye. But I'm not optimistic that the next coach is going to be any better, based on past performance on head coach s********s. Maybe they hit it this time around, and the next coach will be around for more than 4 yrs.

Organizations that are well run do not tolerate mediocrity and continuous failure. Chargers are a bottom rung Organization no better than the likes of the Jaguars. They have been fortunate that they had a franchise QB, who they failed to build around and now a young stud qb who definitely could be the next franchise QB and I do not see them building around him either.Originally posted by Charge! nope..... we made similar mistakes all season long but we also got a tone o=f miraclke breaks, ref calls, etc, that broke the Chargers way.... and gus's defense couldnt tackle or stuff the run either, which is why NE rolled us in pl;ayoffs..... the games we won were the ones where our offense held the ball at the end or scored at the end....
Bradleys ************ system needs to go since it has not worked in years...... Chargers have NFL record for giving up leads.....its same system ATL used for years due to similar ex-SEA coach...... ATL could not stop anyone from running or passing most of this season, so they fired their coach and instantly their defense is making plays.... and stopping the run and the pass...explaiin that??......
If Chargers fire Bradley the defense will instantly start getting better as long as they let someone with an aggressive attitude take over..... we have some athletes, they jmust need a better system and coachjing......
Same is true of ST's......
if mistakes are just a one game thing, it my be onn the players, but when players make the same blunders game after game after game.... year after year.... then it die to bad coaching..... do you see saints, chiefs, Patriots or steelers makimng blunders every week?... hell no..... those coaches do not tolerate that.....

weak leadership
one thing I’ve always liked about Lynn is that he always seemed to communicate confidently and transparently
This is the first year he’s felt a real hot seat and he’s responding with visible anxiety and fear
fake it till you make it coach"The best defense is more offense."
