Reflects recent national trends. But Southern CA is historically more Republican.

Well Romney was a bad choice.... As is Obama but there are so many illegals who benefit from Obama winning, starting with driver licences. And that percentage is only who actually voted. So. Cal is more republican including LA and i dont care what the stats show.

No Cal is by far more liberal and by gosh looky here, they got a stadium.

And they are losing that advantage. San Diego voted for Reagan (his "lucky city") twice. It went for Clinton twice and Obama twice). When you look at California you can see a trend where the cities vote heavilly for Democrats whereas the suburbs and farm areas are heavily Republican. In fact, and I am going from memory here, I believe that when you look at voting histories statewide for Dems they carry something like 17 of the 51 voting districts in the state but they get such a huge advantage in LA and SF to win here.

I never understand the Democrat vs Republican arguments. They're all crooks in my book.

The Dems/Reps isn't about who is good or bad. It's about who would be most likely to support a publicly funded stadium.

In 2008 Obama beat McClain 54% to 44%. While Southern California used to be strongly Republican that majority has really shrunk in the last 20 years. Pretty soon the only ones in this state that will still vote Republican are the farmers in the high desert. Of course, the state is doing all it can to ensure they put as many of them out of business as possible.
