Who was your first "Favorite Charger" as a kid ?

I was drawn to the Chargers as a kid because of their offense. So Fouts, Winslow, JJ, Joiner, and Chandler. Throw in Muncie as well.

Also Fouts - plus JJ, Joiner, Winslow and Chandler. i was 10 years old in 1979 and did not realize that i was witnessing a historical 3-4 year run at the time. i was young and lived in northern california so i never understood for years what happened to JJ and Fred Dean. JJ and the goggles with acrobatic catches - it was a shame that he was gone.

I hear that. I was the same age at the time. My father was a Rams fan and I just remember telling him that the Chargers were much more fun to watch than the Rams.

Fouts and Winslow (and the entire offense back then). But those two were the ones!

It would have to be Fouts with Jefferson being a very close 2nd. And while I can't say he was a favorite Charger I always liked hearing the announcers call out Woodrow Lowe's name when I was watching the games.

JJ(with those acrobatic catches) and Winslow (he could do anything..... catch, run, pass, tackle, play deep prevent safety, and even block kicks)..... both were almost undefendable....
