I would be willing to bet that if, the city and the chargers built the stadium 14 years ago and they had state of the art advertising in a state of the art facility, equipped with high rent luxury suites etc, they would be worth a significant more than they are. If you throw in a SB win or two, heck who knows how much they would be worth?

            This being said....

From my seat, from my vantage point and as a 25(ish) year season ticket holder, I have very few issues with the Q. They only thing I need in that stadium is a working seat with a good vantage point of the game, and I have both of those. I get to the stadium at 9 am every game, I tailgate until 1230 ish, I pee when I get in, I don't guy a darn thing while I'm there and my experience is quite enjoyable. My only real complaint is the video board and I only realized it was bad recently (Petco has an amazing video board).

I go for the game and nothing else and I'm sure others have the same experience as me. I could give a damn about concessions, Chargers store or the bathrooms. I pre plan all that shit and watch every snap of every game because that is why I am there.
            That sums up my experience
Forget it Donny you're out of your element

Never warmed up to the Spanos family ever. Alex was a meddlesome, incompetent (in football terms), stubborn old goat. Deano is cut from the same mold as far as being stubborn, but has always been a milquetoast personality, so wishy-washy and very mind-boggling that under his watch we had two dysfunctional GM-Coach feuds happen that tore apart a great working relationship - he was blessed to have a great team in AJ and Marty and he did nothing to keep it together. An owner worth his salt would've told those MFs to grow up and do their jobs for the good of the organization, but Deano was the proverbial ostrich with his head in the sand - twice.

If at the end of the day they end up staying here, my opinion of Deano will be worse than it was before.

Yep. That's why I used to go to games - to see the games. For the novelty of it and the replays, I liked the Diamond Vision video screen when it was first put in. But, in the end, I found it a distraction. I ended up looking at the scores of other games and missing parts of plays in the game I actually cared about. I preferred the old days of the Murph without the videos.

When we went to the Super Bowl in Miami, I had a chance to check out another stadium (Other than the Colosseum and the Murph, I hadn't ever been to any other NFL sites.) They had a couple screens and a really loud public-address system. I effing hated it. The seating was a little better, though, in that the game was still viewable from the worst seats in the place. Upper deck at the Murph or any place in the Colosseum required telescopes.

In the end, though, the only thing that matters in a stadium is the football field. Why care about the rest?

OK guys out of curiosity, how much increased NET revenue increase should the team be able to collect (on a per year basis) compared to today? What should the team/NFL net fixed cost investment be?

The task force has determined that 200 mil fixed cost and a 25 mil/year in increased revenue is "fair." What say you? (25 mil/year for 30 years = 750 million).

Not trying to be a jerk about this, just wondering. I think alot of people, announcers, talk show hosts, analysts, etc... are getting way too bogged down in the specifics of the deal instead of looking at the big picture. Big picture is fixed costs, and NET increase in revenue/year. Hell, you could say "The Chargers should receive 150 million and should be able to make an additional $50 mil/year". What do you think is reasonable?

                  Prediction:
                  Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

I'm tired of this Shiz as well. We signed a pretty good OT and I really don't give a damn. The ownership is chasing me away from the team, and I was doing fairly good at separating them.

Rent is different, I agree. Team should pay fair market value for rent, but fmv is a totally different calculation that will be based on how much of the stadium is financed by the team. I don't think the rent going to finance the stadium would be an issue.

Agreed semantics won't matter in the end. CSAG starting high is one problem with the proposal. Any material change will be viewed by the haters as a major concession by the city/county when in reality CSAG's orginal proposal was too one sided. Starting high could end up not such a good thing.
That's fans willing to pay the extra $5 to keep the team in town.
