Yayeh.... And every step of the way at every level of competition those in charge and ready to receive the enormously talented Junior Seau sat down and pleaded with the family to consider the risks of traumatic brain injury leading to memory loss, depression, confusion and amnesia....well they would have but someone had to cash those checks.....hey buyer beware too bad, right?

No Coryell is outright criminal. It's not like he was Mouse Davis or something.

"we" did not, nor did the Chargers "let him go". He publically demanded to be traded and refused to negotiate with the team when it was rumored his playing time was going to be reduced after injuries took their toll on him for several seasons- but he would always refuse to come out of the lineup to heal. Remember the shoulder injury where he basically couldn't lift his arm and it would hang at his side most the time, but he thought he was a better player with 1 arm than anyone healthy they would sub for him? IIRC there was some kind of leg/groin injury that slowed him another season. I'm not sure he was ever a good fit in the 3-4 and horrible at timing blitzes. The team knew that as long as it was Jr's locker room they couldn't really change anything, but it was Seau who went public and poisoned the well for returning in any capacity. RIP.

Tim Brown for HoF! #Playincrediblylongtimetoturnaboveaveragestatsinto HoFstats
                Prediction:
                Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

Does Rod Smith get in now?

Im surprised Brown got in over Marvin Harrison. But Harrison's HOF speech would be awkward.

Whatever happened to him re: the shootings and the guy that was gunned down? He was never charged as I recall. Goodell would love to have him up there getting the yellow jacket.
