Unless he is willing to have his salary cut back to nothing (vet minimum) and just be a camp body fighting for a roster spot, I don't see how there is much of a message to send. Turner played badly, and is paid a ton, so we need to fix the salary thing AND the upgrade the position thing, so there is not much else to talk about.

Who in their right mind would trade any pick, any, for a guy coming off a terrible year at a high salary and on the last year of his deal? You just wait for him to get released, keep your pick and get him on a deal you want. And their wont be a ton of competition for the guy. There are better free agents out there right now.
It is just a shame that he was so awful and so hurt while a Bolt. He was a very, very good OG in Carolina.
