Definitely hurts but with his injury history I’m ok with it for that price. Herbert has always loved throwing to his TEs going back to Oregon days so hopefully we are able to bring in some solid pass catchers at the position. Draft has some good options and there are still some vets out there that are intriguing like Cook and Everett.

I though HH was just coming into his prime, after his injury problems. The good thing is that Herbert isn't overly dependent on him, as Herbert is pretty equal opportunity (maybe overly so with Guyton). I do wish HH well, except when it matters vs. the Bolts.

I agree with this. Jared Cook on a two year deal. Even Ertz would probably cost twice as much as Cook at this point as some team will trade for Ertz

They can do something with Ertz deal though. Turn it into a signing bonus to lower it this year and then he is cheap the next two, ....if they want to go that route but we still need to draft a TE whether we trade for Ertz or sign 34 year old Cook.
