He was 6th round player. Hung w/Texans 4 years. How did they fuck him up?

Mike Vrabel could never get on the same page with Bill O’Brian. When he left they brought in Romeo Crennel. Still base 3-4 but different, kicked him to DT role from Edge, soon after I think is when he got torn bicep? Anyway took him until following season to recover and just never got the reps or role that fit him best.

Best thing to happen for Covington is to get picked up by the Chargers. I’m sure with Jay Rodgers he be used properly and feel like he belongs in the defense. 27-29 years old for lineman is prime years, look at the free agent upgrades to offensive line? Of course they had to pay up to get them, but when they were drafted they too were 3rd day picks. I’m telling you he can make this roster and contribute. Depth cannot be under estimated in a playoff run!

I'm unsure what Staley's depth chart will look like. The DE and OLBs may not be consistent or obvious personnel.
It'll be interesting to see what the DL with scheme variations will look like.
