For the Chargers to win, it will, IMO, involve scoring or huge field position shifts, provided by the special teams and defense.

Hard to believe that Derwin James *won't* have a significant impact. Because he's healthy, and when he's healthy, he's a badass MOFO

Washington's KO return game should be neutralized by Vizcaino's kickoffs.

And whether Herbert's O-line is 20% better than it was last year... or 40% better.. or 60% better.... Herb should be better along with it. More time to get rid of the ball, and more time to throw the OPTIMAL receiver, not just any guy he can manage to check the ball off to.

Another thing about Herb-- He made some rookie mistakes last year. Not many, for sure. But some of the inevitable "growing pains" mistakes that all young QBs make.

Thing is, Herbert rarely repeated a mistake. He'd make a mistake and then *NOT* make it again...

IMO, this bodes really well for 2021.

My biggest worry is traveling to the east coast playing on the road. Not who they are playing. WA has a decent defense but so do we and we have a better offense imo.

We'll see how it goes. Anybody can win on any Sunday......so yes you have a chance at home.
We play all the teams in your division this year? Should be 4 wins.

Since it's the first game of the season I would think the team could travel a day, or even two days early to acclimate to time zone.

On the surface, the NFCE went 4-11-1, 6-10, 6-10, 7-9 so there was that.......
LAC was tied with WFT and we KNOW 2021 is a significantly better Chargers.

Staley said he doesn't want to mess with the team's clock. Sleep in their own beds Fri, fly Sat morn, get settled, have a meeting, eat, sleep, get up at 7am pacific- usual morn prac time, play at 10am pac.

Perhaps but the fact is your division is pretty weak. You play 6 of your games against them and had 7 wins.
I seriously think we will get 4 wins just from playing them.

Call it cocky if you want and I realize teams change personal every year but Fitzpatrick is a crap shoot QB but he is better than Haskins and a one legged Alex Smith.

If Smith had 2 good legs then he isn't. Our Achilles heel last season was our HC.
