please dont stone me, but some of our guys have not played or been tackled yet..... so there is a likelihood that we may get injuries during first REAL tackling contest .... since that has not happened yet ......

Hoping for the best,,,,,, hoping though that Staley's program has forced our guys to exercise in the best ways to avoid injuries..... if those exist.... i assume they do because most teams have not had the injury concerns every year like chargers have for decades.....

Getting tackled isn't the only criteria for an injury. Keenan, Denario Alexander and Derwin,....to name a few all got season ending knee injuries from not being tackled but cutting or landing wrong after jumping.

Keenan, it was a cut in his route and he went untouched during a game. The other two,.....practice during intersquad scrimmage.

That said they have played scrimmages against other teams in practice. I know it's practice but they aren't playing flag football.

Alexander could have been so good. That injury ended his career just as it was really beginning. He spent several years trying to come back but no team was interested. I kept hoping it would happen.

I know that...who doesn't? Maybe I didn't post clearly...I don't see a huge depth drop off behind Bulaga with Norton at RT...because Bulaga hasn't really shown us much anyway...and if I were concerned, it would be the depth at LT.
