What scares me the most is a promising young franchise QB destined to never make it to a SB. What’s scarier than that?

It doesn't scare me, but I'm waiting to see if the Brandon Staley experiment is going to actually translate into wins and a winning culture. He talks the talk now let's see him walk the walk. A few alarm bells are ringing after the sloppiness and poor execution of the final two preseason games and some of the roster decisions (T. Johnson). I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt though.

Honestly, I think what scares me the most are my own lofty expectations. Or maybe it's need. I need these guys (Chargers players) - who I have never met - to succeed in their game they get paid for. Somehow that makes me happy-er when they succeed. Yeah. Weird but true. But if they lose. Holy crap. Why would I do this to myself? Putting my happiness in some strangers hands seems not so smart to me! No! But I do it anyhow. Every day during and leading up to football season. Maybe I need a 12-Step group.

Continuity.
This team needs change in a major way. Across multiple coaches for over a decade it’s been the same stories of injuries, ST woes, choking away 4th quarter leads, players not making developmental jumps, and coaches shrinking in on themselves when they need to be leading. The team, players, and fans all need something different so we can take a step forward. Also the unyielding march of time that will inevitably destroy all traces of my existence.
