Well its a two part formula, the killing part 2 for us is our next man up never steps up as our depth is marjinal at best.
      Go Rivers!

We had a lot of backups play better than the starters they replaced...wait, nevermind.

The Law of Averages says that the injury bug has got to turn our way at some point. If it does not, than we must assume that some outside force is contributing to it. Coaching staff has changed. Medical staff has changed yet still the injuries have persisted the last few years. I don't know what other outside force to consider, but damn, enough is enough with all the injuries.

I agree with most of what was said by Ebeneezer.

Except the injuries thing. The Chargers, seemingly always... have more injuries than the majority of the league.

It will probably go down some... (I mean, it can't go up, can it?)

But to count on this team/franchise being healthy... that's a horse I've long ago given up on.

That said... I'm still optimistic. This team has the tools to do something.
"...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

I'm not necessarily saying we're going to have the healthiest season of anyone in the league, but just trending towards average would have a big impact.

                    Great post!
-Ingram was a beast when healthy.

Right now we look good on paper, easily better than the team we saw play in the last game, so that's heartening.

IIRC 2005 was pretty healthy, which makes the crash and burn vs NE all the more difficult. That year we had everything going for us and didn't win a SB that we probably could have,
